WOW! What an opener! That's how Vanity Fair's Most Beautiful Woman poll is introduced. What it must feel like to be one of the ladies included on the list.
It continues:
"These modern-day Helens of Troy come from both hemispheres and include
legends and ingenues, a queen, a First Lady and at least two bedmates of
Leonardo DiCaprio."
Leo sure knows how to pick them! :) Angelina Jolie won by a LANDSLIDE. I'm talking over 50% of the votes went to the mom of 6. Hands down.

I don't hate her but with all honesty, I don't think she is the most beautiful woman in the world. But well, this is one of those lists again. Did they really go all over the world and look at each woman's face and conclude that she was the most beautiful? They shouldn't say "Most beautiful woman in the world", they should say "Most beautiful woman in Hollywood". Still I don't think she is the most beautiful even in Hollywood.

I don't think she qualifies as the most beautiful anymore. She's looking too thin and haggard these days.
It is true if you go to the Angie fan websites the fans admit to voting several hundred times a day. Pretty sad. But then whatever. It is obvious that when there is this much of a gap in voting 58% to 2 or 3% that it has been set up. But it makes her fans happy, they seem to think that if she loses a poll the world will end. I personally could care less. I think that vanity fair just put this up after they named Giselle on their cover as the most beautiful women to get hits and the Angie fans fell right into it. You got to love these fans though, these women would give their lives for Angie and Brad almost like a cult. To weird for me. They must live really sad lives.

Well, now, I like Cate Blanchett very much, but it's the package - her confidence and style, intelligence and class, not just looks. If you're looking at a line-up photo of her, no; top beauty doesn't come to my mind. But I'd rather be her than some vapid shell of a woman with perfect features. This list has a number of unusual entries on it. Look at Catherine Deneuve, she's getting a lot of respect! Good for her. Kate Moss? Been looking like the cat dragged her in for some time now. That woman could use a dose of clean living.

YAWN...Angelina Jolie...SURPRISE! Blech...she is not the most beautiful woman in the world. Like someone posted earlier, I GUARANTEE you that there are women that nobody knows about in this world that are stunning and breathtaking. Angie Jo is NOT one of them, sorry. Her fans are insane and again, I agree that they HAD to have had some cult like meeting to make sure they were all voting, non-stop. They probably put themselves on some schedule to make sure there were at least 958 of them online at any one time. WEIRD. The difference in percentages is absolutely ridiculous.
I don't like her or find her that beautiful, but after all the work she's had done over the years (seriously, compare some before and after pictures) anyone could be beautiful with plastic surgery.

Hmmm....they're all famous women. Are you telling me that Vogue scoured the planet, gave their readers an objective list of contenders, a mix of the most beautiful celebrities and their non-famous counterparts (mind you, all of whom wouldn't have the assistance of make-up and hair artists and stylists) and THIS is the list that they came up with? It MUST be true, then. LOL
Never found her more than moderately attractive...Halle is the only one who belongs in the top 3, IMO. No Jessica Alba makes this a joke of a list
Jealous much? Like her or not, she's gorgeous. And yes, most of us looked better 5-10 years ago. In response to the plastic surgery posts, prove it! The only thing that looks different is her nose is more narrow and the fact that she has aged. Name one Hollywood star that hasn't had a nose job, or two, or three (JA, I'm talking about you!).

These lists are sooo stupid. I maybe agree wtih like, 2% of this list... And how the heck did Angelina win by THAT much? Adriana Lima should be on there and so should many others (in my opinion). Actually, these lists just shouldn't be made at all. Who's to say who is most beautiful anyways? We all have different standards of beauty. Stupid.

I don't agree with about 95% of this list. Don't get me wrong all these women are very pretty but most of them seem very plain to me. And Angelina's days are over.
I don't know why people take these lists so seriously. A new one comes out everyday. There have been a lot where I thought you have to be kidding but I don't let it get to me. A lot of fanclubs or websites say vote for this person. It's nothing new.
Obviously all of these surveys are purely just for fun!
Unless there was some fair scientific way of measuring the looks of every single woman on the planet, then you can't say who is the most beautiful!
Angelina Jolie is fairly nice looking I guess (I personally would not want to look like her) but it would make a refreshing change if a natural beauty came top on one of these lists.
I agree with some of the other comments, that AJ is not looking her best lately, she is getting very slender - I hope she is ok.
In the scientific measures that was on The Operah show Angelina is the only woman along side with Haile Berry who got 7 out of 10. Most woman in hollywood measured 4-6 so don't the player hate the game.

I only agree with Angie (I think she's very beautiful) connelly, the Queen, Ziyi, Cate, and kerry washington. Why would you put beyonce and paltrow on here? Not cute to me at all.

No, that's because of the actual beauty standards. Most of us aren't tall, blonde & blue-eyed like russian supermodels too, and they are the most sucessful supermodels nowadays. Stop trying to see racism everywhere.
This list is ridiculous, they must be joking! None of these women's beauty could start wars, except for Carla Bruni-Sarkozy and Queen Rania (but only because they are married to men who could).
The most beautiful women in the world are not those who are in the spotlight or are celebrities. I can go to a mall or university campus and pass 50 women in four hours better looking than those on this list, save Halle Berry and Queen Rania.
There are many women in the "spotlight" that are far more beautiful than Angelina Jolie: Monica Bellucci, Adriana Lima, and Aishwarya Rai just to name a mere three.

i voted in in this contest. when i was looking through the pictures i noticed that angelina had the most flattering one by far. i think that may have skewed the votes somewhat. but the picks overall were strange, so she didn't have that much competition. that said, i didn't vote for her. i think she's a little gaunt and she has terrible posture. sometimes she looks pretty, and others i think she looks skeletal, which reminds me of illness not beauty.
where is megan fox or jessica stroup on this list??

She is definitely not ugly, but to say that she's the most "ANYTHING" in the world is ridiculous. Does it say how many voters determined who the most beautiful woman in the world is? What 1,500??? LOL
