"There is a crisis in serious journalism and it’s been created by
journalists. We’ve been trivialising news for at least a couple of
decades. The desire for new information, which we could use in a very
healthy way, has been replaced by supplying trivia.I mean really, who
gives a s**t about what’s in the handbag of LeAnn Rimes? Who gives a
s**t about that?"

Ok so what’s in it then?
He really needs to get over himself!
I think he is absolutely right. People feel more for a celebrity who has had something mean said about them than they do 50,000 people being killed in an earthquake, or a Navy Captian being taken prisoner. I understand what he is saying.
AMEN!!! He definitely doesn’t need to “get over himself.” The truth is the truth ~ and the media has created a completely false sense of what is newsworthy and what isn’t!!
He defenitely has a point. The media just won’t lay-off some certain “news” items.
I agree with him to a certain extent – but it’s not new, this has been going on since time began in one form or another.
As for his comment about “who gives a s**t about what’s in the handbag of LeAnn Rimes?”
I imagine the designer of the bag does!
i heard he’s a huge jerk and arrogant
