Justin Timberlake To Climb Mount Kilimanjaro

Justin Timberlake To Climb Mount Kilimanjaro

Mount Kilimanjaro! Mount Kilimanjaro!! I can't even climb up from my basement without needing to catch my breath and this boy is going to climb Mount Kilimanjaro? Wow - can't wait to see how Justin Timberlake does against the elmements.

In order to bring awareness to the global water crisis, Justin along with rapper Lupe Fiasco and singer Kenna are planning to make the trek books are written about.

I’ve been training four times a week to get my VO2 [oxygen consumption] levels up to expand my lungs,” Justin told GQ. “We’ll climb for a week straight, carrying 30 pounds on our backs. It’s going to be intense, but it’s going to be so rewarding.”

One of the most amazing and rewarding experiences of his life - no doubt.  Best of luck!

Have you done anything unforgettable like this?

30lbs?? and he calls that intense LOL he really needs this little adventure to show him how sheltered he's been.

all i can say is that it must be nice to have the time to train a couple of hours a day, AND just go off and climb a mountain for a week. some of us have to work 51 weeks a year to maintain our 30K/year salary...all these celebs live in a bubble and don't even realize it.

You sound very jealous!

Anonymous Anonymous said:

who wouldn't be jealous? don't you want to earn millions of dollars a year and have 100 days of vacation a year?

Anonymous Anonymous said:

Sure I would, but I wouldn't come off as a jealous bitch.

I admire his commitment to bringing awareness to global water issues.

But Vera, climbing Mount Kilimanjaro is NOT like the extreme of climbing Mount Everest or similar. Yes, it's strenuous, but you basically walk/hike up and while the temps and altitudes change, it's not ultra extreme. There will be guides to escort his team up and support them. He may be carrying 30 lbs., but that is probably his own personal stuff. Most certainly, his team will have local porters carrying up the heavy gear, such as food/cooking equipment, medical supplies, possibly camping necessities and tech items.

Pampered little ass. You want adventure, you want to 'do your part' join the military.

You guys are some bitter ass people. Live and let live. More power to him.

All you people saying, "that's cool" "that's fantastic" "all you people are jealous petty bit***", you are all full of shi* and you know it. You would all give your right arm to switch places with him. None of these celebrities deserve what they have received, and we have every right to be resentful of their ridiculous salaries and lifestyles.

A month or so ago some stars (Cheryl & Kimberly Girls Aloud, Gary Barlow from Take That and more) climbed Mount Kilimanjaro for Comic Relief in the UK, they all did it! I donated :)
