Matthew McConaughey Really Opens Up

Matthew McConaughey Really Opens Up

I love when Matthew McConaughey has a new movie to promote because he gives the best interviews! Matthew's latest movie, Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, is due out this spring, so he sat down with Elle.com to talk about what he finds attractive in a woman and sexual misunderstandings.

So what does Matthew find attractive in a woman?

I see it more with black women, who get dressed up and they’re wearin’
everything to fit snug, and they’re walking the walk. And you’re like,
Man, look at you go! Where did you get that? She might be a larger package, but boy, she sure understands how she’s wrapped."

Matthew is secure enough to admit that he had a thing or two to learn about women in his younger years. He said those Playboy photos were pretty misleading about, um, female anatomy.

So the first time I got to third base, man, I was hunting for a long time."

LOL! And I thought they were just misleading about cellulite!

(And before you act all shocked, admit it, we know that's not too unusual for young guys ;)

He shares a lot more with Elle.com, if you're interested. Matthew always provides a great interview!

I always like this guy. His movies make me smile when I'm feeling down in the dumps.

Excuse me for being dense, but what exactly was it that he was hunting for for a long time? (in polite terms, please. LOL)

ikr! I don't get what those "bases" deal are, too.

But that "larger package" is the best quote ever.

LOL he's always loved black/Hispanic women. Go Matthew!

Hispanic and black women don't have the same hang ups about body image like white women have. I don't understand why white women suffer from anorexia and bulimia; very few black/Latino women do. I personally don't think there is anything wrong with white girls they look fine to me; leave the white girls alone society!!!

As a black woman who struggled with bulimia in her teens and continues to in my twenties comments about white women being the only ones with eating disorders are racist and wrong. Some people are just attracted to people other races.

i dont think it is about race it is more about culture. I think that in the carribbean or in west african countries it is culturally acceptable to be think. I think in north america, europe and asia thin is more accepted. So it doesnt matter what your race is it depends on what culture you grow up with.

She said very few black women had eating disorders, not no one. Personally, I wish I had the confidence most of them have. I have Brazilian & African heritage, my "curves" will never leave me - and I can't come to terms with it.

i meant more acceptable to be thick

I'm not a huge fan of this guy, but I can understand what he means about black women. I sit back and I watch some of these women and think, I wish I had the confidence they have. They are happy and just accept themselves for being them! It's not a racial thing at all, it's just that they are who they are and accept it completely.

That's because they have no choice. They have to play the unfortunate hand that God dealt them.

Paige Paige said:

Ahem, just what unfortunate hand is this that you speak of? I am a blonde haired and blue eyed irish white girl and yet I am extremely offended by this post. If you believe that white people are the supreme race, then perhaps you should join your buddy Adolf Hitler. I believe the world will be a better place when you do.

And if, by some chance, I have misunderstood your post then I sincerely apologize...

I'm guessing she meant because most people think that fat, or thick or whatever you want to call it = ugly....

I like Matt .. good looking guy, very laid-back. But .. how much longer will he be able to play the lead in chic-flicks? Really .. Matt needs to learn to act, get some meaty roles .. do something other than smile and surf.

After reading that Matt does not use deodorant..........it repulsed me...and I don't care who he is..... a person that doesn't use deodorant stinks..........and it doesn't matter how cute a smile he has......Stinks..........do you hear me Matt????? Get real!

Paige Paige said:

I can honestly say that I would have agreed with you 100%... until I met my husband. Some people are just blessed! As far as Matthew is concerned, I have never been close to him to know if he has body odor or not... but my husband rarely ever sweats at all (even when working out), and on the occasion that he does, there is absolutely no odor. ----But Matty boy, stop telling people that you don't wear deodorant AND if you do stink, PUT ON SOME DEO!!! :-P
