Magazines Won't Fork Over The Big Bucks For Montag - Pratt Wedding
They are just asking for too much! That's what it comes down to. Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt aren't able to find a magazine who will give them as much as they are asking for the exclusive rights to their upcoming wedding and ceremony.
In Touch’s Editor in Chief Richard Spencer says:
“The total number that (Montag and Pratt) used to get from exclusive photos is down. It’s sometimes better to go all round with the deal and ensure you make money and get exposure, particularly when television shows are involved.
They’d rather be on page 50 of Us, People, In Touch or Life & Style than be on the cover of a magazine like OK! that isn’t going to sell. They need to make money, and so does the magazine. The formula is changing.”
This is strange to me because hasn't Us Weekly always had the exclusive deal with them? It was my assumption that they would be handling everything in their relationship.
We shall see - Will Heidi and Spencer get the front cover? Or will we have to turn to page 50?
