Emma Watson Excited To Be A Nerd
The entire course of Emma Watson's life changed when she did the 'Harry Potter' movies. I'm sure she can't help but look back sometimes and wonder how things would be if she were just a regular student! But, now she's going to have a chance at living a more "normal" life when she goes back to school and Emma is thrilled about it!
"For someone who has missed as much school as I have, I want to go back
and discover what else there is. I always loved school - I was a
proper, proper nerd. I just want that back again."
Emma starts at Yale University in the Fall.
"I never thought that I would want to go to America for university. As
a child, I aspired to go to Oxford or Cambridge, because that's where
my parents went. When my dad talks about his time there, he says it was
the most incredible experience."
She's someone who simply loves to learn.
"Since I haven't been in school since July, I've only now realised how
much I miss it. I don't make time for it now, and you really have to
sit yourself down and think about it and do it. As much as I could,
when I wasn't filming, I would go to school. When filming, I would send
all of my work back to be marked by my teachers. As I got older,
though, it was harder to slip in and out."
What a great opportunity for her! I'm sure she'll make the most of it, and will probably really enjoy her time off from Hollywood.

I love the HP movies. She reminds me so much of Natalie Portman. She is set for life, she doesnt need to go to school. She wants to and I think that shows what kind of person she is. I cant wait to see her in other roles outside the HP series. I think she will do very well.
I can almost hear her accent when she says she was a "proper, proper nerd" - i love the english way of talking and their accent is to die for :) Just like chocolate cake, mmm.

I totally know what she's talking about. I once took a semester off univeristy, and even though I had a part time job to keep me busy, I missed school so much! I acutally wanted to pick up a book and start highligting again.

She's nothing like the other stars who started out acting young and innocent and the morphed into a skinny crack whore [Lindsay Lohan, anyone?]
I really admire her. She's so sweet to her fans and she WANTS to go back to school. I wish her the best luck! I'm very excited for Half-Blood Prince and Deathly Hallows, plus any other work she begins!
