Katie Holmes Attends The Independent Filmmaker Project Party

Katie Holmes was looking stunning in a black silk jumpsuit as she posed for photographers before heading into the Independent Filmmaker Project's 30th Anniversary Party in New York last night. Love her entire look, even the jumpsuit which I normally don't care for.
In other Katie news, did you hear she took up smoking again? And Tom Cruise is doing everything in his power to convince his wife to quit?

Scientologist have this process called the Purification Rundown which is an extreme detox involving high doses of vitamins and several hours in a sauna. Rumors say it's about 5 hours a day which I can't even IMAGINE. After 20 minutes, I'm choking for fresh air. But once someone goes through the treatment, it is assumed they will no longer need to smoke.
Annnd it doesn't work because this would be the second time she went through the process. Tom already put her through the Purification Rundown several years ago. The only person that can make Katie stop smoking is Katie - just like any other addiction.

Once a smoker, stress is a huge trigger for going back. I quit smoking 7 yrs ago and a few weeks ago I smoked half a pack in one day while visiting family in Texas. All triggered by stress. I still struggle with it lately, but haven't smoked since I came back to Ohio and as you know it has been rough. She has a lot going on in her life, I cannot fault her for taking it back up, but hopefully she will be able to stop again. As for the outfit, SHE cleans up nicely and looks happy.

Her outfit is horrid and it is not a jumpsuit. The silk shirt does not match the type of pants she has on and the pants don't fit. She is the worst actress ever and I have no idea why she is even relevant.
I think she looks really good here. I don't like the pants though. She would look a lot better if she had something different on the bottom, like a skirt. The pants just don't look good, but the top if attractive and her hair and makeup look really good.

Smoking is one thing she can control in her life so it makes sense to me that she has taken it up. Plus its a way to pi$$ off Tom.

I agree with everyone above and think she's gorgeous. As far as the smoking goes, I heard that she started again because of the stress surrounding the death of her brother in law... perhaps Tom ought to show more concern and support for her in a time of need rather than getting on her to quit. The more he harasses, the more she's going to want to do it. If he could provide her with some stable support, she may be able to substitute that for the smokes... and yes, as a former smoker, the only person that can make you quit is yourself, period!
She's all grown up and very chic and beautiful. The I heard this and rumor nonsense is really laughable. Where's your divorce rumors when they are as solid & happy as ever. ha ha ha
No one believes this crap because the real news is Tom will announce is next movie soon and with all the constant visit of Katie at the dance studio will it be a Broadway musical or Musical movie?
I lean on more on ET,People,Insider,Variety,EW,CNN entertainment than lowest common denominator tabloids like US weekly,Life and Style,NY Post,Enquirer,OK magazine. I pity and shudder for people that buy this and Im happy to hear the tabloids are all bankrupt and desperate for a bailout too except People magazine,Vanity Fair etc...
As much as Im jealous of Cruise both are really happy and genuinely in love. I think they will last. Katie is special and hot. Oh well I will see her in my dreams.
What a cool event because I love Indie films and they are giving blockbusters a challenge like Juno,Slumdog and my favorite Indie by Katie was Pieces of April. She's a class act,talented and beautiful inside and out a rare combination in Hollywood and society.

Smoking really helps with anorexia. There's only so much throwing up Katie can do to trim her thick thighs, sigh, decisions, decisions!!
