It's Official: The Hills Will Return Without Lauren Conrad
Well, I never thought I'd see it happen, but it has: MTV has announced that 'The Hills' will return next season without its star, Lauren Conrad. Instead the show will focus on newlyweds Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, along with Audrina Patridge, Lo Bosworth, Brody Jenner, Stephanie Pratt, Justin Bobby, and "fresh faces."
'Spencer and Heidi will be newlyweds, so the stakes are higher than ever
before for the two to make things work,' adds MTV. 'Viewers will find
out life in Los Angeles only gets more complicated as friendships,
relationships and loyalties are tested like never before.' "
Heidi's already said 'The Hills' "doesn't need" Lauren; she thinks the show will be just fine without her frenemy.
I know she hasn't been wanting to be doing this for a while, and [the
life she really leads] is not on camera. So I think it's a closing
chapter for her. I'm sure she'll have fun and success."
Audrina, like Heidi and Lo, also thinks the show will be fine. Audrina said, "We're like family to our audience."
Lauren said the decision to leave was "bittersweet. I've spent the last five years making every decision be about the show."

well the whole reason i watch the show is because i like lauren (or whatever version of her i see on tv). i'm not really sure if i'll watch once she's gone. i'll probably just catch it in reruns...

I think for Lauren's sake it's better that she doesn't come back. You could tell on the show that she wasn't happy about the show anyways.

Yeah - the only reason I watch was for Lauren's storyline. If I'm bored on a weekend and the air a marathon - I might tune in.

It will also officially be cancelled. Can't stand the overexposure of
Mr. and Mrs. FAKE FLAKES (Heidi and Spencer). I'll watch the last episode when Lauren leaves, and that is it.
They need to come up with another show idea anyway. Get sick of seeing
young rich kids wasting time and money. What you've got "The City", "The Hills", "Teen Cribs". In this tough ecomony it would be nice to see how the other half is surviving these days.

They have jumped the shark! the rest of the cast are wannabe idiots . Bobble-head spencer and Heidi hoo, haven't a chance in hell to keeping people watching and the rest of those morons on that show wish people cared enough. Lauren is a sweet girl with the brains and some talent to know when to cut her losses. RUN FOREST RUN.

LC is the star of the show. No one will be able to fill her shoes especially that dumbass Kristin Cavallari.

I'll likely give it at try, though I only tuned in before because I adored Lauren. Heidi and Spencer give me a headache already, so I can only imagine what it's going to be like when they're the 'stars' of the show.
Smart move, Lauren. Get out while you can.

I adore LC and enjoy the ups and down of her life. Once she is done with the show, there will be no need for me to watch it. This season there is very little Lauren, so I hardly watch. Speidi is pathetic and Audrina is boring. Kristin was an uber bitch back on laguna and her voice annoy me, so yeah there is no need to continue watching.

I think the hole show will be a fake, If LC is out am out too. I don't even like KC, she thinks she better than "LC" she's wrong, LC has class and she just trash.
I will not watch it with out LC she's probably cause the show is going to be fake. She smart in get out, Now the show is not going to the same. What they need to do is change the name of the show. Is not fare that is going to be called (THE HILLS ) is not fare.
