Who would’ve thought?!?
I think most people gave this marriage a month tops when they got married. But whatever they’re doing seems to be working for them. Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon had a big anniversary party to celebrate 1 year together and Nick’s tribute to his wife was so emotional that she got choked up.
At Moon (Nightclub),
Nick surprised Mariah with a video he produced throughout the year of
their happy moments together during their first year of marriage.
Mariah did get emotional and the emotions were definitely real! She was
seen crying while watching the tribute.
The couple shared toasted to each other in front of everybody.
"This is
the most amazing person in the world," Cannon said about his wife. "I
dedicate my life to her daily, and together this union is gonna last
forever. She is my rock."Carey replied: "I have the best man in the whole wide world."
That’s really sweet. Love that they are proving the naysayers wrong and…it’s a bit early to tell still, but looks like they might go the distance, right?

They seem so happy, I have been following Mariah forever and I have never seen her this happy. Good for them and I hope they last!!!!
Need something new to talk about. Yippie, they lasted a year. the second she gets knocked up, he’ll leave her. Then you will thanks me for pointing you towards better gossip- the upcoming band, IceBloc which is much more entertaining than this.
Well, they say opposites attract… as long as they are happy, which they seem to be, more power to them. Everyone deserves to be loved. I am definitely rooting for them and hope they are as in love as they are now in 30 years.
Vera they’ve only been married for a year, geez! I’m not wishing anything bad on them, just saying. But “whatever they’re doing is working for them”???? It isn’t “working” till you’ve been married at least 10 years.

Wow, a WHOLE year!!! I’m amazed. I’ve never, ever seen a marraige last that long. They really must be doing something right.

YES!!! It was fantastic. I checked out the video of Nick’s video on mariahdaily.com The whole party seemed very festive and Mariah looked so happy!! I admit, at first I thought this union was weird too, but what you have to understand is that Mariah’s very young for her age. Mentally, she and Nick are a match set. I’ve never seen her happier and I’ve been a “lamb” for 20 years!!

I thought they were strange together at first, as well, but even I have to admit…they seem pretty smitten with each other and that first year of marriage is so hard. Congrats to them!
They both seem so in love with each other. And good for each other. Forget what anybody else has to say.
Nick is whipped and she’ll get tired of it eventually and want a real man…trust me.
