Geri Halliwell Wouldn't Do Plastic Surgery Because Of Bluebell

Geri Halliwell Wouldn't Do Plastic Surgery Because Of Bluebell

Geri Halliwell gave a good quote recently about the myths of breastfeeding, how it's taken a toll on her body, and why she would never get plastic surgery!

“It was a long time when I was
breastfeeding, at the end I was like, ‘Let it go!’ And it’s
such a lie that it makes you thinner. That’s a lie told by the milk
mafia.

“My boobs look alright, maybe not as tip-top as they
were but I wouldn’t have surgery. I would feel bad about going under
anesthetic. I have a child. What if I died?”

She adds that her daughter is the most important thing in her life, followed closely by her career.

“I hate it
when I don’t see Bluebell. It’s like I’m addicted to her.

“For me, it’s that balancing act between giving
my child the time she needs, but also finding something that is going to
satisfy me as a working woman. That is a real juggle.

“I wanted to write, because it meant I wouldn’t
be at work all the time. I could work in the house and still spend plenty of
time with my child.”

As we've seen with Kanye West's mom, amongst others, going under the knife is a BIG deal. I wonder how other celebs that have children justify it.

She's totally right about the weightloss/breastfeeding link. I wasn't able to lose any weight until I weaned my sons a year after they were born. Nursing does burn calories, but it always leaves you constantly hungry.

Vera - your comments are ridiculous sometimes.

OTHER people who are not celebrities and have children have plastic surgery all the time. What a stupid comment.

So true. As long as accidents are claiming everday people, we can breathe a sigh of relief.

you have a better chance of dying in a car crash, but it does not stop anyone from driving, or getting into a car does it? everyday that we wake up, our lives are at risk from something or another.

I agree with KateP,

I'm having an arm and thigh lift later on this month. I'm doing it so that I may be a more confident woman and be happier with myself. It is not done without regards to my 2 year old daughter. I look forward to being able to take her swimming without hiding my body and dreading moments that should be cherished.

Shame on people who put down women trying to make themselves happy.
