Christian Bale Bulked Up Without Steroids
When Christian Bale needed to get bulked up for a movie role, he headed to the gym. Unlike some people, *ahem* A-Rod, he didn't turn to performance enhancers to get there.
"A number of people have said, 'You could never have done that without some kind of steroids.' Not to say I wasn't tempted.
When I was getting ready for 'American Psycho' I'd never been in a gym in my life and I was working out like crazy, so I thought, 'Maybe it ain't such a big deal, just take some 'roids' and I can speed up this whole process.' "
He almost had a moment of weakness though...
"I called up the store where they're selling that sort of
stuff and asked, 'Have you used it? And side effects?' 'No no. I mean, really minimal. Your balls might shrink and you might get acne.' I'm like, there's no way in hell I'm going to touch anything like that and d*mn those who think I did."
Ummm...EW. I guess using steroids to get bulked up would sort of be like the male version of the female pressure to use anorexia to become a size zero. It amazes me that anyone would even consider going to such lengths!

you know, A-Rod and Manny and all those other players who used steroids are professional athletes! they are in a much different class than Christian Bale. For his purposes of bulking up he doesn't need steroids, he's not competing with anyone. He's just supposed to look in shape. Not that I'm justifying steroid use in the MLB, but it's much different! those guys are competing at a world class level and to keep their roster spot on the team. I don't care how many steroids Christian Bale takes, he will never be a professional athlete.

you basically just did defend all those assholes in the major leagues. If they are not good enough to make the obscene amount of money they do then they should retire. There is NO EXCUSE for a pro athlete to use steriods, they have access to the best trainers and the best science in the world. The problem is their ENTITLEMENT issues, they all think they DESERVE to be the best when in actuality they are nothing more then scumbags. No one deserves anything you HAVE TO WORK HARD FOR IT. Fuck all those pro athlete billionaires.
Anyways, Christians body in American Psycho was INSANE, he was SO HOT as Patrick Bateman.

I understand that you mean that men feel pressure to bulk up and women feel pressure to be skinny, but you don't "use" anorexia to become skinny. It's a disease, not a dieting method...Starving yourself is a (bad) way to diet, anorexia isn't a way to diet.

I don't think anorexia is a mental problem. I think anorexia is the product of someone being fucking stupid.
Example: Hot girl makes commet to likewise hot friend that girl sitting across from her is a lard. Said lard then becomes so desperate to be accepted by the afore mentioned hot girl she becomes anorexic and possibly dies or possibly wins the attention of the hot girl and her group, I don't care which ending you pick, its your call.

Everybody in the world is depressed and has been for years, all people now a days are doing is using it as a crutch to get by on and to get wonderful, wonderful drugs from the magical phama-fairy.
