Jaime Lee Curtis arrived to the 3rd Annual Noche de Ninos Gala in a classic black dress and topped it off with a hot pink wig ala Britney Spears this past weekend in Los Angeles.I’m really curious as to why Jaime decided to put it on. Was it for fun… Spur of the moment… A bet… What?

Meanwhile, Jamie Lee Curtis, who was given this year’s Courage to Care Award by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, sported a pink wig.
No, she wasn’t getting all Britney Spears on us.
The wig belonged to a 15-year-old girl who died of cancer.
"We were at a news conference and she pulled off this wig and on her head she had written ‘Jamie Lee Curtis Rocks,’" the actress told me about her first meeting the girl when she was 11. "That night I borrowed her wig and went to this event, where we raised millions of dollars for Childrens Hospital Pittsburgh. After she died, I asked her mother if I could have her wig to carry her message."
What a great thing for Jamie to do.

So here is the story: Back when Britney went “nuts”, she wore a wig similar to this one. Back when she shaved her head and said she was stressed because and aunt just died from cancer. Anyone else connect the dots yet? Wearing a pink wig is common for cancer patients, we had a reporter here that wore one on the air while she went through cancer (she died) now they wear them every year on air to pay tribute to her. I am not saying Britney did not snap and get crazy, but that link makes more sense now. Jamie Lee wearing it as a tribute is a wonderful thing. I think we should all look at these events with more understanding before jumping on the crazy hate filled bandwagon. Just my rant for the day – take it for what it is – no need to get nasty. LOVE THE WIG B/C it belonged to a little girl who Jamie met when the girl was 11 or 12. The girl recently passed and Jamie asked her mom if she could have the wig. She wore it in tribute to the little girl.
How special that she wore the wig. I love Jamie, she’s not afraid to be herself or do or wear what she wants.

I was thinking the EXACT same thing! Her chest has 3 measly little freckles on it. Sun damage gets worse (obviously) as you get older…but her skin looks incredible.
