After all the fuss that was made about Katherine Heigl quitting the Emmy race, she’s back in again! Entertainment Weekly is confirming that she has indeed put herself in the running.
Cynics will snark that the 2007 Best Supporting Actress winner is back
in the race because of the tensions that allegedly sprung up between
her and series creator Shonda Rhimes after she took herself out of the
running. (The movie starlet, you’ll recall, said at the time that she
didn’t have material with which she could compete.) But I think — and
I think you’ll agree — it’s likelier that even she knows that, whether
viewers loved or loathed the Izzie’s-got-a-brain-tumor story, she
played the frak out of it. She’s already earned one high profile
endorsement…"I think she did beautiful work," Rhimes raved Thursday immediately
following the season finale. "I think she always does beautiful work."
What do you think of the news? Are you rooting for Katherine to take home top honors? Do you think she really did do an amazing job as Izzie?

be honest: ARE THERE MORE THINGS SHE’S ABLE OF, folks?
Katherine said she was out for one year not forever.
I think she has done a fantastic job this season– that story put some umph back in grey’s anatomy after they had such a slow start to the season– it ended unbelievably!
haven’t seen the end of the series…I live in london.
but I was glad she there was a reason for her seeing her dead boyfriend…I was starting to think greys anatomy had lost the plot big time!
i hate arrogance. it was arrogant of her to take herself out of the running for an emmy. what a slap in the face to the rest of the cast, the writers and directors. Im glad she is off the show. it would be one thing if she said, I dont think I performed to the standard where i would deserve an emmy, but instead she took the low road and publicly insulted someone else’s work. how ungrateful. She would never had gotten the first one if it weren’t for these writers. i hope she never wins another emmy for the rest of her career.
