Nicole Richie's Pregnancy Craving: Pickles

Nicole Richie's Pregnancy Craving: Pickles

INO Moms - did you have any cravings while you were pregnant? I really didn't - at least I can't remember any.

I also love to hear about pregnant women who suffer from that insatiable urge which comes along with the hormonal adjustments.

Fess up!:)

Nicole Richie supposedly can't get enough of pickles and Joel Madden is responsible for getting the right ones.

“After enjoying lunch with Harlow at Beverly Hills deli Nate
‘n Al, Nicole told Joel she wanted some pickles to go. Joel popped back in
the eatery and came out seconds later with the goods.”
However, Joel was forced to return to the cafe because Nicole was upset with
him for buying the wrong type of pickle.

“Nicole told him, ‘These
aren’t the right ones,’ and sent him back. Joel finally got the order right
the second time round.”

Nicole is due to give birth in August and it was recently claimed the couple
are expecting a boy after the pair were spotted buying blue baby items.
A source said:

"Joel bought water-based paint for the nursery and -
surprise, surprise - it's blue! Plus, Nicole recently ordered some plush
animals and infant toys, and everything just happens to be blue."

Nicole, 27, has also been referring to her unborn baby as "he". However, the couple has yet to make an official announcement about the gender.

We have a chain of restaurants here in BC and when I was pregnant with my first daughter I craved their special mayo. With the second it was Yoplait Apricot and Mango yogurt.

I'm currently 18 weeks pregnant and my cravings are all over the place. Spicy meat, pickles - oh gawd!, hot fudge sundaes, enchiladas, and taco bell. lol Grocery shopping is so difficult and expensive right now! ; ) Nicole is tiny for being around 6 months pregnant!

Watermelon ( I could eat a whole one in two days), fresh homemade salsa ( huge bowl in the fridge at all times), Dog 'n Suds root beer (craved it, didn't drink it) and... garlic bread with strawberry jelly ( don't judge)

Nicole Richie looks fabulous as usual.
As for pregnancy cravings I don't believe in them, they are purely psychological.

Over analyzing huh? What is wrong with your body craving a specific something? News flash - it happens to even nonpregnant women! Whoa! Watch out! You might crave something specific for lunch or dinner. Something might not look too appealing to you and you may choose not to eat it. Then again, if you are above the "psychological" cravings - go open up a can of alpo. That has nutrition in it.

Why the psychotic response??? If you're pregnant right now, I'll give you a pass and blame it on your hormones. Otherwise, get yourself into some therapy...now.

With my daughter I had to have croissants. I had never had one before, and had no idea what one tasted like, but I woke up one morning around 4 months along, and I knew I had to have them. With my son it was pineapple and rootbeer. Every freakin day for my entire pregnancy.

they say if you crave sweet you'll have a girl and if you crave salt you'll have a boy - in my case it was the opposite....i crave sweet and chocolates with my first one and I had a boy and I didn't have much craving on my second one - and I had a girl. and they also say if you crave chocolates - you'll have a happy child. I know it's old wives tale but it seem to be true.

With my first daughter, I craved pickles, Taco Bell. My hubby worked the swing shift so I would have him bring me a Snikers and Dr. Pepper home and I would sit there and eat it that every night at 12:30 in the am. With second daughter, I craved oranges all time and would eat them even though they made me sick to my stomach!

dr pepper has a lot of caffeine. if you get pregnant again, you should try to avoid it.

I had to have onions. All types and sizes. I put them on everything and would eat them like apples. I also craved nachos with Hormel chili and chocolate syrup. I think the wierdest one was vanilla ice cream with colby jack chees and the hard chinese noodles mixed together.

I simply meant that pregnancy cravings are psychological, as in they are purely mental or emotional as opposed to physical in nature.
If your body had genuine pregnancy cravings, it would not want you to eat crap, it would crave healthy food that is good for the growing baby. It would also let you know that 'eating for two' is a lots of nonsense too!

I am so boring....I wanted sparkling water all the time when I was pregnant. My hubby would walk to the store at 11 a night sometimes because flat water just wouldn't do it for me, had to be sparkling, sometimes with lemon or lime flavour. I also often found myself wanting good homemade mac and cheese - a comfort food that reminds me of being a kid which I now make for my little boy!

Well, I have never been pregnant so I don't have a craving comment... but I had to comment on how beautiful she looks in the turquoise color. LOVE IT!
