I LOVE Amy Sedaris. I had a friend in college who found her phone number and called to invite her to be on our radio show. She wasn’t home, so my friend left a message and she actually called back! She apologized (!) for missing her call and promised to be home during the show the following week, and she gave us a great interview. She really is one of the warmest women alive, and so genuinely hilarious! That dress is perfect for her- the fact that she never tries to be sexy is the sexiest thing about her- she’s such a beauty!

She is HYSTERICAL! I have no doubt she bought the dress the minute she saw it. When she was younger (as this story is told by her brother David Sedaris in one of his books) she put on the bottom-half of a fat girl suit when she went home for Christmas or something just to fuck with her father. She wore it the entire time she was home and stayed in character, eating a bunch of crap, hanging out in the refrigerator, etc. while her dad constantly harassed her about her “weight”, telling her she’d never find a man and he couldn’t believe what she was doing to herself, etc. She has a sick, twisted, odd sense of humor. Love her!
Her book ‘I Like You, Hospitality Under The Influence’ is the best gift I have ever received…I will never look at nylons the same way again….
