Orlando Bloom Talks About His Latest Role

Orlando Bloom talked to Entertainment Tonight about his latest movie, ‘Main Street.’ He is a small-town police officer who, along with everyone else in the town, has to deal with the arrival of a stranger (Colin Firth) who stores hazardous waste in a local warehouse.

‘I like these kinds of movies; I enjoy going to see a slice of life, the
way [these] kind of people live,’ says Orlando. ‘I like the idea of
playing a cop; kind of thinking about how a cop goes about his daily
life and what he comes up against.’

‘They’ve asked me to come over and take a look, and to me it’s a bit
like I’m dealing with the cat in the tree issue,’ explains Orlando. ‘And then I come in and I see all of these canisters laid out; they
look pretty ominous.’ "

Orlando even had to learn a southern drawl for the part. I’m curious to hear that alone ;)

Does this sound like something you’d want to see?

I loooove Colin Firth. What happened to Bloom’s career? outside franchises like Pirates and Lord of the Rings he’s not all that.
And speaking of movie front,Terminator Salvation was internationally panned and it flopped. Ben Stiller’s Night at the Musuem beat it badly.

Yeesh! Orlando Bloom looks like a woman in that first picture!

    just one thing…………………………………..”FUCK HIM”, folks!!

Oh, I like Colin Firth! And Patricia Clarkson (seen in those photos). I’ll probably wait for the dvd but I’m interested.

To the first poster… “What happened to Bloom’s career?” Wow. I don’t know, but two hugely successful franchises worth hundreds of millions (and I’m probably underestimating by a mile) seem like they’d be assets on his resume. If he never gets another job, his work in those films won’t likely be forgotten.

He so does not look handsome in these photos. I cannot wait for the movie, though.

I can’t wait for this film to come out! This is my hometown (Durham, NC) and so many of my friends saw him (and the rest of the cast) filming… they had a blast!
