Give me a break. Creating controversy. There is no shame in being in 2nd place on American Idol. The can even do better than the winners. Move on people!

I do not think the voting was even close. In previous seasons when it was a tight competition they would say for example: It was a record setting 100 million votes and only 30 thousand votes separated the two finalists. When the results were read for this season finale it was never mentioned that it was close in the voting numbers, so I do not think the potential extra votes even mattered.

As for power texting, most phone have the option to send 10 messages to 1 # or you can send the same message to 10 contacts.
It's a feature on most phones.

Seriously, who the eff cares? If they're going to be successful (debatable) it doesn't matter whether they win or lose.
