Change Is Coming For The Pussycat Dolls
The Pussycat Dolls need an “evolution” says group member Melody Thornton.
The performers – who have been plagued by rumors they are set to split due to Nicole Scherzinger’s prominence in the band - insist they have no plans to go their separate ways, but do need to make some changes.
Melody Thornton said in an Australian interview:
"It's good news for our fans. I don't think we're breaking up any time soon. As long as this thing is moving, we're all still here. The reviews say a lot about the need for an evolution within the Pussycat Dolls.
"Nicole's always had extra things going on as opposed to the rest of us, but we have aspirations as well. It's definitely a huge misconception that we are just chilling and happy to just be members of the group."
One person who could be brought in to freshen up the line-up is Lady Gaga – who has been opening for the ‘Don’t Cha’ stars on their current tour – after Melody spoke of her admiration for her.
"Lady GaGa is bringing something new and fresh. I think she's amazing."
It was previously claimed that Nicole is set to announce she is quitting the group at the end of their tour in a bid to focus on her solo career.
Her plans became apparent after the group's version of 'Jai Ho' was released under the name Pussycat Dolls featuring Nicole Scherzinger.
On their tour, Nicole performs their latest song 'Hush Hush' on her own while the other girls are off stage. That can't be good for group morale!
What do you think will happen? Will they replace Nicole? Or split and go their separate ways?

Uh oh ... I hope the girls aren't getting jealous. But how could they not? It's basically all about Nicole now.

Well Nicole is the most talented, imo. The PCD label didn't market her well when the first PCD album came out. They didn't give the audience enough time to identify and recognize her as a solo artist. Will.I.am said this in an interview when asked the differences between Fergie's solo success and Nicole's solo cancelation. Which is why on the second PCD album, the cover had the first letter of their names on the motorcycles, and the deluxe version had a solo song by each member. But still, Nicole wasn't getting the name recognition. So that's why her label put out Jai Ho and Hush Hush, as PCD feat. Nichole Scherzinger. Besides, Nicole does most of the work. A.R. Rahman, who composed the Slumdog Millionaire OST, asked Nicole to write her own lyrics to Jai Ho for the mainstream version. Also, the liner notes on the first PCD album said all vocals and background vocals by Nicole Scherzinger. PCD was already formed with Carmen Electra as the lead, and they were looking for a replacement, as Carmen didn't want to, and Nicole auditioned and got the part. So from the very beginning, PCD was a lead singer with backup dancers. Unfortunately, unlike Carmen, Nicole didn't have the name recognition needed to set her apart from the group. So yeah, I'm TEAM NICOLE!!

did she try that before and had 2 come bac 2 the group.....not every one is ment 2 b a solo act
i think its stupid unlike the pussycat dolls Danity Kane is an actual singing group. i love the dolls but hate the fact that their not a real band. I think Nicole should split the dolls and join a group where there are only dancers as the other members and have the dolls become an actual group since this thing isnt working out. or they can have every singer sing, btw if you havent heard the other dolls sing you really should Melody and Ashley have beautiful vocals and Kimberly and Jessica have amazing ones too. they all should be like Danity Kane was and sing. can you imagine? instead of just buying Nicoles vocals we would be buying the group as a wholes vocals. they would be more successful.
I cant enough of them! They were ao awesome in concert!
