Candy Spelling Wouldn't Reunite On Camera For Tori Spelling's Show
Well, at first everyone was up in arms making Candy Spelling the bad guy of this story because she supposedly refused to go to her granddaughter's birthday party. Buuuuuuut, she says the real reason was that she wouldn't attended a staged reunion just for Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott's reality show. Candy's rep talked to the media saying,
Candy felt uncomfortable about being filmed while reuniting with her
family, as cameras shot footage of the party to be included in Tori’s
reality TV show ‘Tori and Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood’.Candi’s
spokesperson explained: “Candy was so excited to be invited to the
party, but then she found out it wasn't to be at Tori's home, but at a
house rented by the production. So it was clear it was for Tori's show.“Candy agonised over whether to go or not. Candy felt like she had to
say, 'No.’ She wrote to her daughter that she wanted to do something
privately with Tori and her family.”
Hmmm, after she told the media last month that Tori was responsible for "killing Aaron," maybe it's better off that she wasn't there after all. Either way, I'm sure Tori was disappointed.
But, who's in the right on this one? Was Candy wrong to turn down the invite or was Tori wrong to make it a public reunion?

What are you talking about? Are you wondering if Vera wrote this? She doesn't always...she has a staff of writers, I assume.

Tori is right. Candy rsvp'd so she should have shown. Candy was assured that she would not be on camera if she did not want to be, so why cancel?
Candy was well aware that the cameras were going to be there.....sound like she's making up lame excuses not to come to the party....and so what if the cameras were there? what does she have to hide?
From what I read, Tori and the film crew told Candy that she did not have to be on camera and so I am certain that Tori and her children could have spent some quality time with Candy if Candy really wanted to come. Perhaps Candy is the one who was afraid that someone would comment over what she said about Tori "hastening her father's death", etc. I have a mom like Candy and I applaud Tori for being able to handle her in such a mature way. My mom was also very emotionally abusive towards me and no matter how I tried, it was never good enough. Underneath it all, Candy is jealous of Tori--Candy may have money, but Tori has friends, a "family" who make her happy, a career she loves, a happy and thriving husband and family, and the respect of others.

oh, don't get your underwear all in a twist...yes, INO posted the first part of this story yesterday, but this one was posted to include a quote from Candy's publicist offering more info as to why she didn't attend. Geeze, some people are so fricking cranky and rude.
Edie is right, this isn't a new story! If Vera IS using other writers they need to check what else is written better!

It should be privately and I think it is for publicity. Tori and Dean are really into the fame....
Then why did Candy not email Tori before then asking to see the kids? why did she write an open letter for the public to read asking to see the kids. Candy STOPPED seeing Liam. Candy does not make any attempt to see the kids UNTIL Tori sends and invite, THEN candy is a no show.
Tori and Dean are OBSESSED with being famous for NO REASON. Candy had every right to refuse to show up so Tori could use her to boost her ratings. What kid of parents live in a house rented by a production company? What kind of parents allow their childs FIRST birthday to be on t.v.? Can we say self absorbed much?!? I hate Dean and Tori they are the most crass and classless people you post about. Shame on you Vera for still giving them press all the time.

What I do not understand is that if Candy cared so much about her daughter why did she go on Chelsea Handlers show last week to promote her book? Chelsea always rips into Tori saying that she looks like a man,ect. and calling her husband creepy and gross......Is Candy a little passive agressive maybe?

It would have been wrong of Tori to exclude her mother. Her daily life is being filmed, her mother knows this. Candy should have gone, sucked it up and dealt with it. There should have been no excuse for her NOT to take the opportunity to fix this mess.

I highly doubt anyone comes to you for much information. You cannot spell or write correctly. Ofense+offense, doesn't=don't
Lets look at this step by step. Tori and Candy did not get along well to begin with then right as everything is going well, Tori publishes sTori Telling. That just kills the relationship dead in the water. As the seasons past on Tori's show, Tori is always commenting that no matter what the past is she wants her mother to be there for the kids. To combat the bad press against Candy Spelling, Candy starts condeming her own child in the media. No matter what the feeling maybe towards each other, Tori just wants her mother to be the kids grandparent. Money has nothing to do with it . It may have before the kids were born, but not now. All the dynamics have changed and both Tori and Candy need to put the past in the past and create a future for the children.
Candy KNEW the birthday party would be on TV. This is not the first NO SHOW she has pulled. And i am sure it wont be the last if Tori invites her again.
Candy claims she wants privacy BUT she is the one putting out open letters, calling Tori Middle aged, and NOT calling or emailing asking to see the KIDS BEFORE Tori invites her.

Very difficult situation I think. Well, this is Candy's business so in my opinion it isn’t important news for us. Most people in families have many problems, so we cannot blame somebody for his or her mistakes and behavior. There are more important things in this world that we should care about.
