Update: Miss California Is Fired After All
Well, it looks like Shanna Moakler is about to have the last laugh! Donald Trump has reportedly told TMZ that he gave "the green light" to fire Carrie Prejean as Miss California.
Trump said: 'To me she was the sweetest thing. Everyone else -- she treated like s**t.' "
Trump also said Carrie has refused to appear at about 30 events as Miss California, despite being contractually bound to appear.
And after all that drama! What in the world is Carrie thinking???

Apparently, Carrie found out about her firing from Billy Bush of Access Hollywood.
'We’ve just found out from Keith Lewis, your
executive director there, that it’s official, they have put out a
statement and you have been fired,' Bush said.'Well, that’s the first that I know about that, Billy,' Prejean said.
'Really?' he continued.
'Yeah.
I was just talking to my lawyer and I just got a phone call from you
and I’ve gotten some text messages saying 'Hey, is this really true?'
and I said, 'True about what?' and they said, 'That you’ve been fired.' And I started to laugh because everyone’s been cooperating and
everyone’s been getting along so well,' she said. 'This is the first
that I’ve heard of it. This is funny to me. I have no idea what’s going
on.' "
Shanna issued this statement:
'First and foremost, my faith has been restored in the Miss Universe Organization and with Donald Trump. I believed eventually what I intimately knew would come to fruition,' Moakler said."
Shanna also said that she would be happy to return to the Miss Universe Organization if she was asked.

It's already been confirmed that she did lose her crown.... she deserved too, she didn't do her duties and had no class.

I guess Donald was trying to give her a second chance and wait for all the media coverage to calm down. But wow!- 30 contractual events she ignored! She really screwed people over! Maybe not so much the people attending, but the people organizing these events. Have you ever organized an event where the band doesn't show up, or the chef walks out? Maybe once or twice won't hurt you, but when you start screwing people over left and right, word gets around, and no one wants to do business with you! You're company/band/chef/whatever, gets a bad name! And I think that's what happened here. By ignoring her obligations, she was giving the California Pageant a bad reputation and was hurting their business, and word eventually made its way up to Trump. Plus, she's hurting her own career. Companies will find someone else to replace her and endorse their products or services.
well, carrie's saying she didn't miss one event. NOT EVEN ONE. why do you think trump did this? could it be because she's been too outspoken as a christian and a conservative? yep. the others are being very smart and trying to convince you that it's because she missed some events, but it's all lies. it's a shame that those with the most power influence the media and, in turn, influence the people. it's also a shame that the general public believe what they want to believe and don't do any research for themselves.
