Kirstie Alley Lands Weight Loss Reality Show
I have to say... if someone knows how to make money off of her weight issues - it's Kirstie Alley. Comedy series ('Fat Actress'), sponsorship deals (Jennie Craig), Oprah appearances and now her very own reality show?! WOW!! I want to get Kirstie's marketing team to help out INO. LOL!!
The actress wants to lose weight again as she has gained an astonishing 85 pounds since she left Jennie Craig in February of 2008.
In order to keep her honest, Kirstie has signed on for a new reality show focusing on her weight loss and the struggles behind the climb.
The show will “have lots of emotion and show her struggle to lose the weight,” reports Life & Style. Should the show go forward, success isn’t necessarily a guarantee, based on Alley’s fan base.
The magazine quotes an insider as saying, “A show like ‘The Biggest Loser’ has a huge following built in, but I don’t know if Kirstie has that fan base right now.”
Will you watch this show? Or are there too many weight loss programs on air to begin with?

I always loved this actress, I grew up watching a ton of her goofy movies so i have a soft spot for her. But the show honestly sounds boring. This show really does need to do something different to set it apart from the rest of the weight loss shows.

Nope. Im tired of the yo-yo diets shes always on. Either lose the weight and keep it off or be happy being fat and shut up about it. I thought Scientology should be able to fix this issue for her since they can fix everything else that is considered a mental issue.

Who cares. She has all the time and money in the world to lose weight, she chooses to eat like shit and yo yo. Enough with applauding people for 'trying' to lose weight, its pathetic. Like everyone needs incentive to get healthy. This country is nasty.
She is getting on my nerves. We all know that Jenny Craig and other diets like that DON'T WORK! Why doesn't she try Weight Watchers where you eat human food forever?

I would watch only with the hope that she lose the horrible blond hair and go back to her gorgeous brunette self.
Sadly, she is going to fail again, I read her interview and she says she "wants to look good in a bikini". Ms. Alley needs to learn that losing weight at her age is not about looking good in a bikini. Sometimes, a woman her age doesn't need to fit into a bikini anymore. She needs to concentrate on what issues she has that's making her gain and loose weight constantly. Also, documenting her weight problems for the world to see is not good either. It’s too much pressure; she should do it private and seek counseling. Putting herself out there again will hurt her, rather than help....just my thoughts.

I canceled People magazine over having "I'm fat and happy" Kirstie followed 2 months later by "Now I'm going to get thin" Kirstie on the cover. She's worn it out already. No, i can't see me using up DVR space for this program - only to be repeated in 2 years after she balloons up again.

OMG you have got to be kidding me? I think it is time for her to hang it up. She is pushing 60 and doing the yo yo to make money is not the way to go. Is this really the way to earn a living? The show will be a bust and if we are lucky won't even make it to the screen.
When she was on FAT Actress she had to be at least 300 pounds. I lost all respect for her when she LIED about how much she weighed. Then Rosie busted her on The View after her weight loss with Jenny because she was not telling her REAL weight. If you are going to go out in the public and give your story why do you have to LIE? Get on the scale give the number, lose the weight and be a role model.

I lost respect for her when she lied about her weight loss. She came out on Oprah in a bikini saying that she weighed 145 lbs. No way. At her height she would have been thin at 145 lbs and she looked far from it. Anyone can dress there body to look attractive regardless of weight. Oprah does it all the time.

I used to really like Kirstie Alley but really despised her last sit down with Oprah. I think she's a liar and she's very insincere. And she shows no real feelings. If I were going to watch a show about weight loss, I'd choose Ruby over Kirstie. Kirstie would just be "on" all the time and making jokes and losing weight is a soul search and isn't really just about getting a laugh. I just think she's lying to herself about even doing it and I think she should be more honest with her fans. If she does that, i might tune in.

I don't know about this. First, is she the best role model there is for weight loss with her constant yo yo dieting and her binging? Second, when somebody wants to see a show about fat people losing weight, myself included, something like The Biggest Loser would be a much better option that herself talking about how she wished she was thinner.
I think it would be a good show if they did it right. IF she was real about it, you know. Show the shame, embrace that she has failed. and then instead of just another show about weight loss make it about the inner journey we all take when trying to become the person we truely want to be instead of just another skinny body. For her to truely change she needs to work inside out.
Really? This chick is a has-been. She was great in the Cheers days and the Look Who's talking days. She hasn't done anything worth talking about since then. I love -- LOVE -- Kristie Alley. Is her yo-yo dieting and weight loss a little annoying? Oh, you betcha. But what she lacks in a steady weight, she more than makes up for in her personality and winning smile. She's a wonderful woman and I would love nothing more than to see her succeed and be happy. I'm not a big fan of seeing beautiful women cry, so my only condition is that it's not a constant tear fest.
