Quote Of The Day: Lost Finale Will Be Satisfying

It’s going to be one of the last huge television shows in terms of size of cast and scope of production… Given the fact that network television is changing, it may be one of the last great rides of this kind of big epic storytelling. That’s not to say there won’t be another great big old show that is a serialized show in the future, [b]ut for awhile I think it’s going to be smaller and more procedural.

There will be an ending to our show and I trust it will be a stimulating, satisfying ending… "This show needs to be building toward a story finish. The audience can’t feel like the creative wheels are spinning and critically, there were times during [earlier seasons] where we were critically, and in terms of our audience, getting busted for spinning wheels a little bit.

It’s not going to be a Sopranos-style blackout… I thought it was brilliant, by the way. But the Lost ending is not going to be like that. It’s going to be a real ending.

Jack Bender, Lost’s writer and producer talking about the last season

How would you want the season to end? If I had to guess, I’d say the very last scene will be everyone accidentally getting on the same flight again to continue the cycle they thought they broke.

yeah i was thinking it was going to end how it started. them getting in the plane and it breaking…like starting all over. but i’ve been hearing a lot of ppl saying that and we already know lost is too smart for that. once u think u got it, they completely throw u off! cant wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would not say lost is too smart for that. When everyone was trying to figure out where they were and throwing out the whole “time travel” theory, the creators came out and said it wasn’t time travel. Now we clearly KNOW that IT IS time travel so how could they have said it was not about that. I honestly did not think they knew where they were going with this until recently and it should be interesting on how it gets played out.

I don’t think they CAN explain all this. Won’t it all just be a dream? Like, they’ll wake up and everything’s back to normal? I can’t wait for season 4 to air in Belgium, only 2 months left. :)

I have thought that myself, about it being one continuous cycle. But whatever! I’m looking SOOO forward to the final season!! I am definitely hoping EVERYONE comes back in some form in the last season. It needs to be a complete ensemble!!!!!! (IMO, of course :) )
