Kelis Is Broke
First Kelis shocked us by filing for divorce from Nas while 7 months pregnant. Then Kelis hinted that the reason she's ending her seemingly happy marriage may be due to cheating. Now she's telling the court that she has "run out of money" and Nas is not providing any financial support.
My survival is based on [Nas'] will at this time. If he does not want to pay for an expense, it does not get paid."
Kelis is reportedly requesting that Nas pay her spousal support, child support, cover her pregnancy-related expenses, one-half of all medical expenses once their baby is born, $3,500 for a baby nurse, and $20,000 for strollers, cribs, and other baby supplies.
Laura Wasser, Kelis' attorney, says she has requested money from Nas to cover some of Kelis' expenses, but Nas has not responded.
It's sad; this is supposed to be a joyful occasion!

I read elesewhere that she has plenty of jewlery, and other homes. I would think if she was that borke, it would be time to sell off a Rolex!
I actually saw her walking on 14th St. and 6 ave. in New York a few days ago , with her mom , and that belly , faulting that bright blue hair and a peeped smile. Surprising she seemed content.
She only had a hit song, so she probably didn't make enough money to support her lifestyle.

The only sad thing is here is to know these people can't control their expenses. I would do much more with $20,000 than just buy strollers, cribs, and baby supplies. This is ridiculous.
Broke to celebs does not mean broke, ok?
I read on another website that one of her bracelets is worth 190K...that's more than some people's homes are worth! If Kelis is "broke" she either needs to sell some of her stuff or get a j-o-b.
