Naomi Watts And Family In Israel

Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber, who is currently filming "Salt" with Angelina Jolie, took a few days break from work to have a family trip and visit Israel for the first time.

Here they are with their sons Sam and Alexander helping green the land by planting a tree at Jewish National Fund Park in the Galilee on June 14th.

Ummm their names are Samuel and Alexander. Not Sacha and Kai. Kai is Samuel’s middle name, but Alexander’s is Pete. Not sure where you are getting your info.

I know that when Alexander was in the hospital, their reps official message called him Sacha…maybe they changed his name?

I am not Russian but I do know Alexander is a Russian name and Sasha is often used as an abbreviation of it.

is Liev Schrieber Jewish? I am a little surprised to chose to visit Israel, it seems like most non-Jewish or religious tourists are scared to come here. anyway, I live in Israel, maybe i’ll run into them ;)

A sergeant that used to work in my office married a Slovakian (sp?) woman who had a little boy named Alexander, but when he started going to the American school here on base (DoD school-I live in germany), he changed it to Sasha…I never got that until I read ‘Lila’s post.

Yes Sasha is an abbreviation of Alexander in Russian, and Liev’s family came from the Ukraine. It’s like calling someone called Richard, Dick.
