Beyonce Sues Over Bootlegged CD's
Ummm, is she going to sue the ENTIRE city of New York? Because really there are bootlegged CD/movie vendors on every corner of the city!!!
Beyonce has had such a problem with people selling things CDs and merchandising outside her concerts, that she's asking NYC to make it illegal.
Beyonce has filed a federal lawsuit today in New York, alleging that a
pile of shady people have sold knock-off CDs and merchandise in "the
vicinity" of past concerts she's performed around the world.Beyonce
believes the piracy is bound to happen again -- specifically at her
upcoming concerts at Madison Square Garden on June 21 and 22 -- so
she's asking the court to deem it illegal before the bootlegged booty
hits the streets.
Big deal out of nothing? Or is Beyonce in the right here? I have to think that if it were my music being sold, I'd be pretty mad too!

I can understand where she is coming from. If you are an artist and create something from your ideas, you wouldn't want someone stealing it and making money of it. Then again, I shouldn't talk because I see pirated movies, download illegal music and don't pay a dime for it. I do it and I'm not ashamed to admit it. Is wrong I know, but I still do it.
Dear Beyonce, Not going to happen! I suggest you get with the times and adapt to 2009. Artists don't make money from CD sales, they make it from tickets. Take note from bands like Nine Inch Nails and Radiohead who work WITH the new system of downloading and torrents and use it to their advantage. Changing times pantyhose, changing times.

According to reports, her concerts aren't selling well. I doubt if she makes 80 million this year!! I don't feel sorry for this idiot, because she's not the first or last entertainer that will experience counterfeit cds.

There is nothing wrong with her being upset about that, she has every right to sue, especially since that is basically the only kind of action she can take unless she kicks their asses
