So, either something really big is coming up in Jon and Kate Gosselin’s world…ooooooooooor, ratings are declining.Either way. ‘Jon & Kate Plus 8′ will be doing a special one hour show for a big announcement coming up soon.
TLC confirmed to the Free Press today that the network has plans to
run a special episode at 9 p.m. Monday to air the announcement.
In the preview for the episode (check it out above), Kate says,
"Recently we’ve made some life-changing decisions," Kate says in a voiceover on a new TLC promo for a one-hour Jon & Kate Plus 8
episode to air Monday. "Decisions that will affect every member of our
family…ones that we hope will bring each of us some peace."
Ummm, YEAH, I’ll be tuning in. So if this is a trick for ratings, it’s working.

I know they signed up for all of this, but I do feel sorry for them. My husband and I ran through some very hard times and I can’t imagine everyone knowing about it. We never even told our family! Luckily we pulled through, but boy was it rough. I’m not sure we could have done so with everyone else chiming in with their own opinions.

I hope the decision is to grow out that god awful hairstyle :-< I think they are going to seek counceling……At this point if they don’t say they are quiting the show I really don’t care. The kids are starting to look a little sad now and I dont think we should support that :-<
wow they must really need ratings, but i hope for their happiness and for their childrens that this means they are quitting or taking a break from the show..come on…she’s totally sick if she doesn’t decide to do it…she’s cracking under pressure!
Ratings have continued to drop since the big 5th season opener. I hope they’re quitting the show & working on their marriage.
And I will not watch it.
This is a publicity stunt. They will NOT announce seperation nor will they announce they’re not continueing with the show. Watch them announce that they’re getting rid of the dogs. I said it first. Wait and see.
I think the announcement will be that they are getting counseling…They still have more than 30 shows to do — need to fill the time!
One thing they — make that SHE — won’t do is quit the show. Kate loves the money and the attention she gets from it. She’d let her family go all to hell (like it has been) before letting the show go.

Weren’t they in counseling during season 4. Some of the things they said were alluding to it.
TLC should pull the show, but everyone should stop watching it too. I refuse to watch it. It’s pathetic.

just read on dlisted that it is the big d & jon is filing next week. as much as i abhor her…this is just sad. now i might watch…might.
Definitely will be watching. I agree with the person who said they’re going to announce they’re in councelling, I think the obvious choice is seperation, and i don’t think they’re going to go there.
Though I kind of hate the show ever since they addressed the rumours. The children are barely featured, it’s all about guest stars and the obvious space on the interview couch. It’s not natural anymore, I think it should end.
I feel that they are doing this to up their ratings, which makes me cringe, therefore, I will NOT be watching it. I don’t agree with how they have handled certain situations in the last months and don’t want to contribute to their “fame”. I will just wait until the epidsode is over and find out online.

I WISH they would announce they are quitting the show – that would be best for EVERYONE! But, like some other people mentioned, they will probably announce that they will be going to counseling, so they can drag another couple seasons out of this. And, NO, I will NOT be watching. Haven’t watched an episode yet and don’t plan to. I’m now regretting watching this clip.
I’ll be tuning in because my husband has set our DVR to record all of their episodes. I asked for just one, but got all of them and we don’t know how to turn that off yet. lol I wonder what the announcement is. It’ll probably be something that either we all saw coming, ie divorce or end of show or they’ll announce something that doesn’t necessarily warrant a “special”, ie, agreeing to go to counseling (while being filmed I’m sure) or moving again (because of the “P people”?). Really – who knows!
