Updated: Farrah Fawcett And Ryan O'Neal Will Get Married
Farrah Fawcett and Ryan O'Neal, who started dating in 1980 and have a 24-year-old son together, have decided to get married as Farrah continues to deal with cancer.
"I've asked her to marry me, again, and she's agreed," O'Neal, 68, tells Barbara Walters in an exclusive interview on ABC's 20/20, airing Friday, June 26.
"I promise you, we will," he told Walters. "Absolutely."
I used to ask her to marry me all the time," O'Neal tells Walters. "But
... it just got to be a joke, you know. We just joked about it."
Ryan said he has fallen even more in love with Farrah as he has watched her battle cancer. He also said she is currently "fighting for her life."
Whatever makes Farrah happy. They're in my thoughts.
Update: Farrah is reportedly in a southern California hospital. She is expected to leave today.

This is kind of a flippant comment to make about a situation that is pretty heartbreaking, don't you think?
Vera is a blogger not Farrah's cousin or something. What do you want her to do? Write a Eulogy? She's obviously saddened and sympathetic.
What is wrong with the comment "whatever makes Farrah happy. They're in my thoughts?...I second that, whatever makes her happy may she have it; she is fighting for her life. Vera is not writing her blogs until Tuesday, she is in Costa Rica interviewing the celebs for "I'm A Has Been, Get Me Out Of Here"

Actually, I think it'd be nice for the press to make a big deal of it. They were so cruel to her for so many years - with always accusing her of being wasted/drugged up. I don't know what the real story was but I felt bad watching the way they portrayed her and now that she's battling for her life, they are suddenly all sweet and kind to her. So, yeah, I think it'd be nice for them to write some positive articles and make a big deal out of her wedding. :)

I think it is sweet that they are going to get married after all this time. I hope she is well enough to accomplish it. In another article I read something like he said as soon as she is well enough to say yes. Pretty sad.

I've always known that they would be together again. It just makes me sad that Farrah has to be so ill. Love knows no depths.
