New Reality Show For Jessica Simpson

New Reality Show For Jessica Simpson

Well, I guess this is a different kind of reality TV show than the one that caused so much trouble in Jessica Simpson's and Nick Lachey's relationship. The country singer has signed up for a new series called, 'The Price of Beauty.' It's sort of a documentary, following Jessica as she travels trying to figure out "what people consider beautiful and why."

"I have always believed that beauty comes from within and confidence
will always make a woman beautiful, but I know how much pressure some
women put on themselves to look perfect."

"I am really looking forward to discovering how beauty is perceived in
different cultures and participating in some of the crazy things people
do to feel beautiful," she continued. "I know we will all learn a lot
on this journey and I am so excited that VH1 is coming along on what
I'm sure will be a wild ride."

Jessica and her Dad are signed on as co-producers as well. Shooting begings next month...who will be tuning in when this one airs?!?

I get the premise, just the title leaves a bad taste in my mouth. "The Price of Beauty"? Like Jessica (and the other "beautiful" people) are victims?

I got the impression that they'll be looking at the lengths and expenses people will go to in order to comply with what they think is beautiful.

What a hypocrite! She believes beauty comes from within but had her boobs made bigger, had work done on her eyes... Add to that her creepy dad Joe and make this whole endeavor into another reason to keep the TV switched off.

I know, right? Plus she has extensions, tans, etc. etc... But I will watch. She had her boobs done around 2003-2004.

She never had a breast augmentation. PLEASE do your research before posting such stupid comments...

Not sure how I feel about this reality show idea... As much as I like Jessica, I am not sure she is right for this "role".

I don't think she ever got them done, maybe a lift or something... wich when they are that big, would make a lot of sence.

She most certainly had a lift done. I never said implants. Pictures don't lie: http://www.goodplasticsurgery.com/2004/04/29/jessica-simpsons-boob-lift/
Now chill the fuck out. I love Jess.. but why don't YOU PLEASE do YOUR research before you make such a stupid retort because it's clear she's had a lift.

LN might have meant to respond to Nanea, who said Jessica have her boobs made bigger.

Papa Joe will be co-producing?? Will Jessica never learn? That man has done nothing except ruin her career. She is WAY too old to be using a parent as a manager. That guy just gives me the creeps.

Answer to everyone's concerns: Don't watch it if you don't like the concept of the show or if you don't like her. Simple as that. There are hundred of other channels you can tune in to.

Why, why, why do women wear a tunic SHIRT as a dress??? Not attractive, even if they have great legs.

And, no, I will not watch the show.

The show concept sounds interesting! I would like to see how other cultures perceive beauty. Isn't there an African culture, wherein women elongate their neck to be more attractive? Perceptions of beauty like that would be interesting to learn.

If I still had cable, I'd probably tune in for the first episode, just to see how the show is. I find Jessica likable and wish her well.

I agree with the people who question whether it's a good idea for her father to be involved with her career. I never had the feeling that he was looking out for her (or her sister's) best interest, but was just trying to milk as much cash as he could from his kids.

I think this will be SO interesting! My thoughts turn to a woman's studies class I had where I learnt in some cultures, women believe that small feet are beautiful, and they deform their own feet to achieve this...the lengths!

Jessica will rock at it. She certainly knows what beauty is in America, she is the ideal all-American woman. I love how she's broadning her horizons and taking interest in other cultures. And of course, she's very easy on the eyes and fun to watch!

"I have always believed that beauty comes from within..."

So when she wore that red bikini and posed provocatively on the General Lee, she was only demonstrating that beauty comes from within? Gee, I thought she was just doing whatever it took to keep her no-talent self in the spotlight. Forgive me for not wanting to listen to this hypocrite preach about inner beauty now that she is too big to fit in her bikini.
