Does Jay Z Have A Secret 7 Year Old Son?
Take in mind the source - this could have been a dream one of the rag writers had over at NOW in London, but let's talk about Jay Z's secret son anyway.
So here is the deal. Before Beyonce, there was Trinidadian model Shenelle Scott. Turns out she and Jay Z had a baby together and the rapper has been able to keep him out of the news for the last 7 years.
Now can reveal that the fiercely private rapper – who’s worth an estimated $400 million – reportedly has a secret 7-year-old son who he’s amazingly managed to hide from the limelight all this time. The boy apparently bears a striking resemblance to his father and is the result of Jay-Z’s romance with Trinidadian model Shenelle Scott which ended in 2001, before he met Beyoncé.
Jay-Z has gone to great lengths to distance himself from the claims, despite reports that he’s privately admitted paternity. Beyoncé, whom he married in April 2008, is now apparently accepting of the boy and is even said to have gone on holiday with her stepson in the South of France.
Living quietly in a $2.5 million house in Trinidad, the report goes onto claim that a paternity test was administered and a match was made.

I see this as completely false. Obviously I don't know Jay-Z, but from what I've seen and read, he seems the kind of guy who would love spending time with his son at basketball games and other semi-social events of that nature. I don't think he's the type of man to "hide" his children to the point of it looking like he's ashamed of him.

It might be true, and if it is I think it was handled gracefully. A child should not be in the public eye, and he sounds as if he is stepping up to his fatherly duty by supporting the child and his ex.

If it is true, shame on NOW for exposing it. Obviously, the child deserves privacy. We do not NEED to know every minute detail of celebrities' lives. I hope they don't start stalking this poor mother and her child now, if it is true. :(

How dissappointing, to want to hide a child. Poor kid will be screwed up knowing his father doesn't want anything to do with him. And that fame means more to him than his own son! ---em's
When you think about it, it's actually doing the child more good than harm to "hide" it. Kudos to him for protecting his child from sadistic photogs and tabloids!

This story is very very old and I think there is some truth to it. If you see a picture of the boy(who is a cutie pie btw) he has Jay Z's strong features but is a mixture of the mom and Jay Z. I know Jay Z is an extremely private person which may be why he probably does not parade the child around. I mean until Beyonce came along no one even knew who this guy was dating and they denied it for at least 2 years. I have heard that he does visit the child in Trinidad frequently and is taking care of him and his mother which may also be another reason why he is not being put on blast.

I've always expected that when Jay-Z and Beyoncé have children, we won't hear anything about it. They strike me as the sort to never make a pregnancy announcement even when she's in her 9th month. Which is totally fine, of course - we aren't entitled to that information and they should take whatever privacy they can find. My point being: I would expect this behaviour from him of children with his wife (the least scandalous variety of children) -- it would be strange for him to be anything less with any other children.

I think it's kind of cool that he isn't allowed to be hounded by the paps.
Even if had a chance to become a celebrity. I wont like my whole family to the spot light. Every person need to have their privacy. So does Jay and his son. Everybody knows that his a private person.
