*Updated: Sarah Jessica Parker's Twin Girls Are Here

According to WTRF, an Ohio news station, the surrogate for Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick gave birth to the twin girls this morning in Ohio. Sarah and Matthew are reportedly at the hospital.

Security at the hospital is tight this morning. We're told additional
guards have been brought in and even more are on standby, if needed, as
this story is expected to get national attention."

The hospital declined to comment. According to TMZ, Sarah and Matthew are expected to release a statement sometime today.

The girls join James Wilkie, who is six years old.

Congratulations! I can't wait to see Sarah dress these girls!

*Update:

Aaaand, here it is...the statement with the girls' names.

"Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick are delighted to announce
the healthy arrival of their two daughters at 3:58 p.m. on June 22 in
Ohio."

"Marion Loretta Elwell Broderick weighed 5 lbs., 11 oz., and Tabitha
Hodge Broderick weighed 6 pounds," the statement continues. "Both Hodge
and Elwell are family names on Parker's side."

"The babies are doing beautifully and the entire family is over the moon."

Thoughts?

That's why all adopted children aren't attached to their parents? And no child is close to their father? Wow, I hope you were kidding and aren't that ignorant.

wow such hostility you guys all have. i'm just saying, that Sarah and Mathew are in a position that they have nannys and such, having a surrogate mom, your child not being able to hear your voices everyday, those kind of things make it hard for your child to be attached to you. it takes acclemation for them to get adjusted to you. Does Sarah and Matthew have time for this? I hope so.---em's

that has nothing to do with it. the newborns are staying with their parents from now on & i'm pretty sue Sarah will have plenty of time to spend with them. A lot of non-celeb women have their babies & have to go work as soon as they get up and that doesn't mean they are not attached to their mothers. i've been with a nanny since i was 2 weeks old & my mother comes first. my nanny is kind of a grandmother to me.

I sincerely hope that she doesn't dress her girls the way she dresses James Wilike...its sad that the kid should look like a welfare victim.

Anonymous Anonymous said:

Because it will "sincerely" affect you soooo much? Parents are allowed to dress their children however they please, there is no right or wrong way. How in the hell does her son having longer hair and shorter pants make him look like a welfare victim. Maybe it's how he chooses to dress? Think about "Big Daddy" with Adam Sandler. One of the most endearing parts of that movie was that he allowed the son to name and dress himself, it instills a sense of freedom and trust. Taste is subjective, get used to it.

Apparently my comment has affected you soooo much. LOL! I can't believe you're seriously comparing real life to a movie. LOL! Taste certainly is subjective and I feel sorry for anyone that dresses that way, especially when his parents are loaded.

Anonymous Anonymous said:

No one is comparing real life to a movie. It's an example of how you shouldn't take such trivial things (i.e. clothes) so seriously.

Who are you to say what I should and shouldn't take seriously? And I'm sure all the major designers feel exactly the way that you do. ;O)

I was reading your comments about the surrogate mother and how she wouldn't be so attached to the babies... I don't have kids yet but I think there's a lot of bonding to the child for the mother who carries them in their womb. I imagine it would take more time to “feel” those kids as your own. It must be a bit confusing for the mother.

I don’t think surrogating is bad; on the contrary, but maybe a bit emotionally conflicting to the parts involved…

Does anyone know if the twins are both sarah and matthew's biological children or maybe just one or the other's?
