Did you like ‘Privileged’? Well, that show may be over, but you can see the star, Joanna Garcia, on another popular CW show: ‘Gossip Girl’! Joanna will play a love interest for Chace Crawford’s character, Nate, according to Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello.
Garcia will play Bree Buckley, an irreverent, slightly evil Miss
America-type who hails from a conservative Southern family. She’ll
first appear in the Sept. 14 season premiere."
Joanna will have a four-episode arc.

isn’t she a little old to be playing Nate’s love interest. I seem to remember her having a bit part as a cheerleader on Freaks & Geeks… surely by now she should be out of the HS/college phase.

Can anyone explain to me why Gossip Girl is popular? I honestly don’t know what it’s about, and the Wikipedia page is long. Can I get a quick summary? Not being snippy or anything; honestly just curious.
I think its sorta like the hills (about rich brats – I assume… never watched it – but since thats what lauren, heidi, and spencer came from – i came to this logic) but basically more sex & b1tchiness…?

it’s about new york prep school kids. i absolutely love the show. i recognize that it’s completely ridiculous, but it’s very entertaining. there’s a lot of melodramatic, gorgeous people scheming against one another.
Joanna was on the show Reba for a couple of years (she played Reba’s daughter). You might remember her better as a blond.

The oc – the hills -90210 – Gossip girls. Im not really a fan of spoiled brats. I rather watch stuff like. Supernatural (them boys are hot and the car….grrr) – two and a half men (funny as hell) – rescue me ( a lot of sex… grawr). thats pretty much it….
what is rescue me? no idea what it is but two and a half man is hilarious (i’d go on a date with allan just for kick of it )
rescue me: tv series about firemen in ny. Some sadness from tragedies, about brotherhood in being a firemen, a lot of sex, just stuff like that. of i forgot, nip/tuck was addicting too

Have to stick up for The O.C. on this one… The O.C. was a great show, it got a bad rap because of the cheesy title and everyone just figured it was another rich kid/LA primetime soap, but the show was funny and well written and had interesting, likable, fully developed characters. I’ve turned a lot of people on to the O.C.(even straight,intelligent, macho men!) who thought the show was stupid/bad before they even saw it and then fell in love with it, Josh Schwartz really dropped the ball on gossip girl but the O.C. doesn’t fall into that same category.
I loved her on Reba! I like her hair, but I think she looked gorgeous as a blonde.
Ohhhh yeah, I remember her on there, too. Her character Cheyenne was pretty good; I liked her the new times I saw the show. Usually like darker hair, but I think the blonde suits her better, much like you said.
I really like Joanna, I am glad she’s going to be on gossip girls. It’s not a show I watch, but it’s sucessfull, so hopefuly she will do well in it!
