Out Of Respect, LaToya Jackson's Scene Has Been Pulled From Bruno Movie

Out Of Respect, LaToya Jackson's Scene Has Been Pulled From Bruno Movie

Looks like Universal Studios is doing the right thing for the Jackson family. LaToya's scene in 'Bruno' is being removed from tonight's premiere and there is a chance it will be removed entirely from the film once it distributes worldwide.

LaToya, Michael Jackson’s older sister, made an accidental cameo in “Bruno,” similar to one by Paula Abdul, where she was coaxed over to a home in Los Angeles for an interview with the fake Austrian fashion journalist.

A source at Universal, the studio behind the film, told Access Hollywood that the scene in the movie with LaToya, which involves a Michael reference, was cut from tonight’s premiere out of respect for the family.

The scene may also end up deleted when the movie heads out on general release in the United States beginning July 10, the source added.

I'm sure the Michael Jackson reference was not a nice one. This was an unexpected thing for a large studio to do and I am sure the family appreciates it.

That's quite an interesting move. I'm glad they did it, because knowing Sacha Baron Cohen, it was probably really nasty and directed toward the whole "man-boy" thing. Good move by them.

So pedophiles are not really nasty to the kids they molest? I lost every ounce of respect I ever had for MJ when that came out.

The Mother of the child whom accused Michael of molestation denied Jackson did any wrong-doings also the Father was caught on tape saying He's going to win big, get everything he wants, and ruin Michael's career.
so **** you haters. He helped and impacted more people then you can ever dream.

By the way, being a "Pedophile" has nothing to do with molesting children. It's definition has been warped by the media and people like you.

they did NOT recant. FYI, from dictionary.com:

–noun Psychiatry. an adult who is sexually attracted to young children.

Nobody cares if you respect MJ or not. You've never slept with a child? Good for you. You also haven't written dozens of songs that made the whole world sing. Humans are complicated, tortured, and ugly. I'm sorry your feeble mind needs clear lines drawn between your villains and your heroes, but life and humanity aren't like that. If Goebbels and Mengele had written music as good as MJ, I'd still listen to it. How do you feel about Chuck Berry, Jimmy Page, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Roman Polanski? They all had sex with children who were the same age as MJ's "alleged" victim, but the media views them as "eccentric" at worst. The difference? They screwed 13-year-old girls not 13-year-old boys.

I have no respect for LaToya for even being in that movie doing a scene about her brother mocking him. She would always bash Michael on camera to be in the public eye and just to have her "fame" time.. Now I'm sure she will be doing it again during this tragic time. That's what I feel bad about.. People like that just jumping on the bandwagon and disrespecting Michael.

The decision was maid by a studio not Sacha, so no i still don't have any respect to the man(?).
IT's a nice move, knowing what Sacha could do and say in movie, Michael's reference in it wasn't the praise probably.

That's great that they would do that. It probably cost them a lot of money to do, also. Good for them!

They should delete it permanently. I can't stand Cohen and he's probably pissed they deleted it. LaToya shouldn't have been involved in mocking her brother either.

It is nice to see Hollywood still has a little class. Although the backlash if they had left in the MJ reference might have been very costly.

I'm sure the scene willl be a part of the DVD, like part of the deleted scenes...when people won't care as much that MJ is dead.

I read on another site that he tries to get her to speak in a voice mimicking Michael and to get him on the phone so he can talk to her. When she refuses, "Bruno" tries to guess the phone number...

So yeah, you can imagine something in there is not nice....

It was definitely the right thing to do to pull out the Jackson scene. It just wouldn't be funny right now, and you never want that stigma attached to your film. There's already enough controversy with Bruno as it is. - Los Angeles PR

That whole pedophile thing was never proven and I don't believe any of it! It's all BS and anyone can allege what they want but it has to be proven. I think you need to let Michael Jackson R.I.P.
