Angelina Jolie’s Film Debut Set To Be Re-Released

Apparently, Angelina Jolie made her big screen debut at the age of five in a movie called ‘Lookin’ to Get Out.’ She played the daughter of her real-life father, Jon Voight. However, the film flopped at the box office at the time. Jon is re-releasing the movie on DVD this Tuesday.

Hal [Ashby, the director] was working on two other films at the time (of the movie’s
release), and there was a lot of drama. Our film was handed over to
other editors, and the result was a crippled movie. We were very hurt
by the reception.”

“I was a co-writer and co-producer, so I had a lot to say about the
casting… Angie was terrific, very well-prepared. I wasn’t looking for
any signs whether she’d be an actress… Hal’s hand is in every single
frame. Finally, this is the film he intended. It’s like a message in a
bottle.”

Well, it’s a perfectly legitimate thing to do.

Are you interested in seeing Angelina’s film debut? I wonder how big of a role a five-year-old had ;)

This is old news. If I remember correctly I think her role was very small, a couple of scenes. I doubt people would buy or rent this movie just to see Angelina acting as a 5 year old.

or maybe Mr. Voight is aware of the media swarm around his daughter and is looking to make a quick buck? just a thought.

He just seems so shady to me. The man can’t give one interview without bringing up Angelina. How about a good old fashioned “No comment” when the reporters ask about her.

  9. tati says:

I was thinking the same thing. He always mentions her

he is just trying to make a buck off his daughter’s name. if no one was interested in the film the first time around, the only difference is now she is super famous and the film can claim the title of being her debut.

I saw the clip and she looks so cute a lot similar to her daughter shiloh. JV lovest talking about his daughter a little too much. If they have relationship ok but I heard they are not close.

  15. merce369 says:

nope, not interested. I don’t think she’s good actress. so if she can’t do now i doubt she was any better before.

  16. Ha says:

Tell me what the movie’s about and I’ll decide if I’m interested in it. I don’t go to see movies because one person is in it. Especially a child. Someone is just trying to make money on how big she’s become.

Angelina is gorgeous and I am sure the debut movie would be worthwhile to watch…….. but I don’t really understand her relationship with her father….her father or any parent can’t hurt their own child so much that the child stops talking to them….that’s just disgusting!!!!

    She is just SO PRETTY
