Sophia Bush Spoils Her Dogs

Sophia Bush Spoils Her Dogs

Sophia Bush is in love... with her new rescued pit bull. The actress took in Penny as a companion for Patch, her original pooch. It's so cute to read how affectionate she is towards these two:

“She’s another rescue pitbull. She was a few days away from being euthanized at the pound. She’s amazing. She’s the first dog I’ve come across in all this time that I’ve been thinking about getting a dog so that Patch has a companion that really reminds me of him. They have really kindred spirits. She’s a puppy, but there’s a lot of life in her eyes. She’s a very old dog. I know that might sound strange to call a dog an old soul, but she is. She’s really special, and they’re just in love with each other, so it’s a good match.”

“My dogs are absolutely spoiled. They come to work with me every day. We’re never apart -- ever. I take them everywhere I go. We hike, and we go to the beach. I pile them in the bed. I think, with animals, they encourage a pure showering of love, and I really like that.”

You can tell Sophia is really a nice person.  Anyone who loves animals this much is typically alright in my book. :)

The actress also insists that having these dogs gives her parental responsibilities.

Having a pet is a big responsibility. It’s like being a parent. Granted, they’re not as intense obviously as children, they’re very similar. My animals are like my kids for me, and your life -- your schedule -- revolves around what they need.

“When I travel, I always have to take the dogs into consideration. ‘Where are they going to stay? How are they going to fly? Where are we going to go? Are we going to fly or are we going to drive?’ It’s a very big commitment, but I think it’s incredibly rewarding.”

my husband and I spoil our dog too, she's our life. I can not believe I have this much passion for a dog, but it's impossible to explain. But, I am am jelous, I wish I could bring mine to work with me! everymorning when I leave she gives me the sad face, and 2 years later, it still breaks my heart everyday.

I absolutely love animals, while growing up at my parents place we always had a dog and a cat, few fishes and some of other animals. But my husband wouldn't like to have any and on the top of that my daughter is afraid of animals, she likes them far away, but she freaks if they approach. Of cause i choose her well-being over my love to animals, but i know where Sophia is coming saying things like dog with an old soul. :-)
And she's definitely OK in my book, anyone who has so much love and care for animals :-)

Rescuing animals is fantastic! Good for her!

I have to say, though, having a pet is completely different depending on whether you have children. We just welcomed our dog into our home last year (we have a 9-year-old son), and I don't think of him as another "child" at all, whereas my childless friends or those that had dogs pre-baby tend to anthropomorphize their pooches a little more.

I used to spoil my pup rotten. he's now 7 yrs old and is terrible with my daughters. it sucks to have to keep him away from them when my daughters desperately want to play with him. I now have to realize that he's just a dog, and not my kid.

I also have a 10 yrs old chow mix who I rescued from some kids beating her, she's the sweetest girl on earth!
don't be afraid of pound puppies (or animals in general) they're the best and so grateful to be adopted.
