Lindsay Lohan is a "workaholic".
The 'Mean Girls' actress - who is more famous for her turbulent personal
life rather than her career - always needs to have a project on the go
otherwise she gets frustrated.
"It's not that hard to be me, but I do work harder than most of my
friends' parents. I am the hardest-working person I know. I'm a workaholic.
I don't know what to do when I'm not working. I get creatively frustrated."
The 23-year-old star - whose most recent film, 2007's 'I Know Who Killed
Me', flopped - last appeared on 'Ugly Betty' but says
she would rather be making movies.
She told Britain's OK! magazine:
"I prefer to be making films. For most
people - and for me, too - there's something about going to the movies. It's
about being able to transform into different people and tell different
stories. You can go to the movies if you're depressed, and you can walk out
later laughing. The fact that going into a theatre for two hours can do that
is an amazing feeling."To be the person who's on that screen, who can make someone feel better, or
bring out more emotion in someone, makes me feel really blessed that I'm
able to do that. It's just about finding the right roles, but when the time
is right, they will come."
That really must be quite the experience!

Too bad she's such a train wreck. She has the potential to be a talented actress, but instead she's a disaster that few studios want to deal with. Maybe if she worked more, she'd stay out of the headlines as much. If I see one more On Again/Off Again story about Sam and her, I might scream.

I think she's too far gone to ever have a comeback at this point. Maybe, if she comes up with some product and goes onto QVC to sell it, but I think that's as far as she will go. But, hey, she should be happy for the success she once had.. it's more than most of us will ever know!
I thought the same thing but then I remembered Britney's comeback. She's actually doing really well now and I know there was alot of skepticism!

I HATE when people throw those kind of words around: she does a bunch of different things so she's a workaholic, someone gets drunk twice in two weeks their an alcoholic, someone has trouble falling asleep for a little bit and they have insomnia. People who are actual workaholic and have a problem is NOT something you just throw around.

I'd be a "workaholic" too if my "job" was flying around the world to go to clubs and parties and once in a while posing for a few pictures for a magazine spread.
She was so awful in Georgia Rule. They could have put a cardboard cut out of her in the film and it would have shown more emotion. I feel a little dirty for admitting I saw that film. In my defense, I saw it because I love Felicity Huffman. However, immediately after the film ended I whacked myself in the head with a hammer. That's just how I roll.

She does more than movies. She has the leggins line and now the spray tan line. Working includes handling those things. She is also working if she is meeting with her agent or producers etc to try to get parts or reviewing scripts. She is scheduled to do a movie that starts shooting soon so she is learning her lines etc right now. I don't know that I would say workaholic but I think she definately is working.

i dont understand how so many say she "has so much talent, so much potential, could be a wonderful actress....". wtf she was in mean girls which was a great movie, but not some amazing performance. parent trap & freaky friday were hits, but remember confessions of a teenage drama queen? that tanked and now people dont even mention it when they talk about her films. and obviously everything she'd done in the past 4 or 5 years has sucked in general. if she has soooo much talent and potential, lets see it already!

Well, she got the "holic" part right, but I'd switch "worka" with something else. And just what is "creatively frustrated" Lilo's definition of -- because she's never really been all that talented?
I don't mean to be mean, but the offers won't come. She's unreliable. I would never hire her because I would never know if she would show up or what state she'd be in if she did. I'm in the middle of planning a short film and the budget is $25,000 for 7 days of filming. I couldn't imagine anyone foolish enough to hire her for a feature length film if she might miss days. That could set the project back hundreds of thousands. If she gets lucky enough to get a second chance she needs to grow up and buckle down.
