And Rob Pattinson hates watching himself on the big screen because the image is too different from how he imagines himself.

Johnny Depp is the same way. A while back he said,
"You know, in a way, once my job is done on the film it’s really none
of my business! I stay as far away as I possibly can. If I can, I try
to stay in as profound a state of ignorance as possible!"
I wonder if most stars would prefer to never see themselves up on the big screen?

I don’t care for him. I can understand though. As an actor I’m sure he’s very critical of his work.
I really don’t see his appeal. He always looks greasy and dirty. And he always looks depressed and p!ssed off. I just want to scream “Whatever it is, SMILE, GET OVER IT, and GO TAKE A SHOWER!” LOL
Some of you guys are so far off base it’s unbelievable. He’s brilliant in everything he’s done. Most actors don’t watching themselves because it’s like watching baby photos. Respect him, stop being so rude. He’s brilliantly talented in music and acting. Can’t wait for REMEMBER ME, NEW MOON, and more of his music.
I don’t understand people who post rude things on a site about someone they “don’t like” …. I mean .. you had to search his name to get here???? Just juvenile … He’s a good actor with talent and I believe (whether he watches his films or not) he will learn and grow from the experience itself and go far in the business. Just my 2 cents….
C’mon, he’s insanely hot , I’ll always go to his movies with my friends to collectively drool a bit. I’d even watch Twilight again. Yes, I’m THAT committed to his hotness.
I can’t imagine seeing myself on a big screen. In high school, my video production class did a Mountain Dew commercial, and it was so weird! lol!

I watched the director’s cut (or whatever) that has the voiceovers, and he was mortified to watch himself on screen. And rightly so, IMO, because his acting wasn’t exactly great in the first movie. I’m hoping his scenes in New Moon will be better

if you are a good actor, wouldnt you want to see the movie you worked so hard for and maybe learn and grow from it?…. sounds very childish not too see your work because your little ego thought you looked a certain way but seen at a different light drives you crazy???? besides thats why they are actors so they can portrait the character not themselves
