David Beckham Rents An Island For Anniversary Celebration With Victoria
Wow! An island!
David Beckham has rented a private island to celebrate his tenth wedding anniversary with wife Victoria.
The soccer star wants to show the former Spice Girl how much he still loves her so has organized this romantic getaway at Richard Branson's exclusive Necker Island - one of the world's most luxurious resorts.
"David has pulled in a few favors. He has bought Victoria a lot of other gifts to mark the occasion but the big surprise is the holiday to Necker.
"Richard Branson owns the paradise island and sorted the trip out, including all the travel arrangements. It will be something to remember."
It's nice to have friends in high places. :)
The couple - who have three sons together, Brooklyn, 10, Romeo, six, and four-year-old Cruz - married at Dublin's Luttrellstown Castle on July 4 1999.
David recently revealed he would love to have another baby with Victoria and is desperate for a daughter.
"I really want more kids and I hope it happens soon. I want a little girl. That would be amazing."
It's really hard to hope for a specific gender. After three boys, I'm not so sure I would go again. I know plenty of friends who all have 2-3-4 boys and have given up the quest. If it's not meant to be... Lucky for the Beckhams, they can hire help and have a dozen kids if they'd like!

Wow that is really sweet of him.. But I don't think I would want the WHOLE island to ourselves. I would like to interact with people. But then again they are famous so they probably just want privacy..

I'm kind of surprised that they don't own their own island. Johnny Depp does. I thinks the prices for Necker start at about $25,000 per couple just to rent one of the small houses. If you rent the whole island, yikes. For about $25,000, you can do gender selection.
The only thing I think would be even more awesome is if he could have completely surprised her with this.
Good luck to them with their future baby making endeavors! It doesn't bother me so much to see people with a jillion babies when they have the means to care for them on their own.

I doubt david had to call in any favours to stay on Necker Island. You can go there as long as you can afford it. Friends of mine have been there, I'm not sure I'd want to be surrounded by celebrities; that's the main people who relax there. Maybe I'll try it one day just to see if I like it! :o

For some reason it really irks me that some people just throw around 10s of thousands of dollars to rent out an Island and other people will be working crap jobs until the day they die because they can't afford to retire. I wish there were some sort of way to balance it all out. Sorry, I'm daydreaming about a perfect world again. LOL

You don't have to engineer a child in order to conceive the gender you want. I mean, you can't otherwise "guarantee" it, but there are "natural" ways. Seriously.
