Propofol Found In Michael Jackson's Body

A drug used for surgical anaesthesia has reportedly been found at Michael Jackson's home.
Propofol - which is used to sedate patients before surgery - can only be gained by medical professionals and is usually given to patients via an intravenous drip.
Gossip website TMZ quotes a source as saying:
"There is no conceivable way this drug can be properly prescribed for home use."
Although Los Angeles County Coroner's officials have not confirmed they discovered the drug at Michael's Holmby Hills home, they have admitted they discovered various prescription drugs there on Monday.
Officials entered the house at about noon and came out carrying two plastic bags.
TMZ reports police were looking for "controlled substances and paraphernalia - in particular needles".
Michael died of a suspected cardiac arrest at his home last Thursday.
It has been claimed Propofol can cause cardiac arrest if it is mixed with other painkillers - reports suggest Michael was taking up to seven different medications at the time of his death - but is so strong it can cause cardiac arrest by itself.
Registered nurse Cherilyn Lee, who is also a nutritionist and was working with Michael ahead of his London comeback shows, claims the pop legend was an insomniac who regularly asked her to prescribe him Diprivan, the brand name for Propofol.
She said:
"He wasn't looking to get high or feel good and sedated from drugs. This was a person who was not on drugs. This was a person who was seeking help, desperately, to get some sleep, to get some rest."

"Several months ago, Jackson had begun badgering Lee about Diprivan, also known as Propofol, Lee said. In recent months, Lee said, Jackson waved away her warnings about it.
"'I had an IV and when it hit my vein, I was sleeping. That's what I want,' Lee said Jackson told her. I said, 'Michael, the only problem with you taking this medication' - and I had a chill in my body and tears in my eyes three months ago - 'the only problem is you're going to take it and you're not going to wake up.' "
Lee also claimed Michael - who reportedly began taking medication after his hair caught fire while filming an advert for Pepsi in 1984 - took prescription drugs because he viewed them as a safe option.
He was vehemently opposed to illegal narcotics, but believed medication prescribed by his doctor was safe.
Lee said:
"He said, 'I don't like drugs. I don't want any drugs. My doctor told me this is a safe medicine.' "
Meanwhile, it has been claimed the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) are keen to talk to Michael's dermatologist Arnold Klein about medicine he prescribed the King of Pop.
It has also been reported police have paid another visit to Michael's personal physician Dr. Conrad Murray - who was with the singer when he died and administer CPR - after officers were seen outside his property.
Murray insists he played no part in Michael's death, with his representative saying he is not being treated as a suspect in the investigation.
Will this never end?

Does it really even matter which drug(s) was in his system at this point? He was surrounded by enabling medical staff who gave him "safe" prescription drugs, and shockingly, his 112lb body couldn't take it. There is a lot of blame to be spread around here

Is this for certain? I just don't know what to believe anymore concerning Michael Jackson. All the hurtful rumours are terrible.

Propofol found in his body or in his house? The title and then the story is a bit confusing.
He was a genius, an icon, whatever... Why is it that when someone so famous dies, people always try to blame something/somebody else for their death? Can't everybody just admit already that the man had a drug problem. Sure he was dancing, singing the night before but for a 50-year old man, he looked way older than his age. Billy Mays looked anything but unhealthy hours before his death and dies suddenly. Yet nobody is accusing anybody for his death. At the end of the day, he was an adult and he made his choice. He just didn't get addicted to drugs 2 days before his death. He' s been an addict since many years ago.

This is only the beginning...
Yes, "this is only the begining." Sorting out Jackson's sordid affairs will take years in and out of court. Everyone wants a piece! Jackson was a music legend in his time to his legion of followers but what sort of legacy did he really leave us with? More of the same! Another drug overdose! Another poor role model! King of Pop is right. POP-POP-POP! With a long history of Pill Popping, shooting up, lavish spending, failure to pay debtors and sleeping with little blond boys, traits blind-sided feverish fans willingly ignore, because "Beat It" & Thriller" turned them on. To pay homage to such idolatry is sick. Sick ~ as Whacko-Jacko was.
Um if he chose to put these drugs in his body Im not really sure anyone else can be blamed. Just because someone prescribes you something does not mean you have to ingest it. Millions of people are addicted to painkillers and sleep aids, just add him to that stat and move on. Enough with the excuses about "yes" people and other BS.
Exactly. Just because he is Michael Jackson doesn't mean he is immune to painkiller addiction. He was an addict and ultimately that's what killed him.

This man was an icon and I have total respect for all he accomplished in his career but let's face the facts. The man went nuts. You can basically divide his life in half. The first half I have total respect for all he did. The second half I have serious concerns/questions regarding his behavior with little boys and drugs.

I have had that before surgery, it feels amazing and ends the impending-surgery panic and stoped a gallbladder attack pain in it's tracks. I was in pain worse that having a baby, and it was GONE. I told the dr if this was street stuff, this would have everyone addicted the first time. When you have MJ money or power, I guess anything is available. IT is terribly sad, on so many levels.
I can relate when it comes to insomniac, I've suffered from it since the age of nine and still do to this day. It makes you feel like you want to end your life. Sometimes it feels like I'm the only person left in the world; especially when the night is so quite and still. I don't have access to all the drugs Michael had; this is the reason celebs die so young, all the people that get them the drugs and all the money to buy it.
Least Jackson had enough sanity back in 2002 to put his entire estate in trust for the three children with his Mother as administrator and Diana Ross named as alternate. Today, Jackson's will was filed and reported as such --
"The document, from 2002, asks for the pop star's entire estate to be put in a family trust and names his 79-year-old mother as a beneficiary of the trust and the guardian of his three children. Singer Diana Ross is named as a successor guardian."
Why did Michael need so many different different doctors writing out
different prescriptions for him knowing it is not safe to mix medications,
was he really against drugs or was he tired of living.
Newsbreak:::: Jackson is not dead, He needed money and was tired of all the crap so he faked his death and went into hiding like Elvis. What a quick way to get rich. The kings alive......... Just think of how much money they will make selling his personal things. E-bay you could get 80,000. for 1 glove probably.
