True Bloods' Anna Paquin Comfortable In Her Own Skin

True Bloods' Anna Paquin Comfortable In Her Own Skin

I LOVE 'True Blood'. Hubby and I look forward to it every week. Heck, it's the reason why we have HBO. This season there seems to be a lot more sex and nudity and Anna Paquin says she has no problem with either.

I feel fine,” she told AOL Television of her nude scenes. “Although the way that people ask me about it all the time, I feel like maybe I should feel uptight about it. But I really don’t.”

“I wouldn’t do it if it was too much. Everyone’s very respectful of the boundaries of whichever actor is doing stuff like that on set,” she said. “It’s not cameras being thrown anywhere and anything can happen, you know? It’s quite choreographed.”

Guess it doesn't hurt that she is dating her co-star Stephen Moyer in real life as well.

“If you’re already with that person then you’re not having to sort of get over the ‘Wow, I’m naked with someone that I don’t even know the middle name of!’” she laughed. “I think that regardless of what kind of scene you’re doing, the better you know the person you’re working with and the more comfortable you are with them, the more open and real your performance can be. And that goes for stunt scenes and heavy emotional scenes and sex scenes.”

Any fans of the show? What do you think about this second season?

I am a HUGE fan of the show! We have True Blood night at my house every Sunday evening. A few of my girlfriends comes over and I make snacks and drinks and we watch the show together. It's so much fun! The book series is wonderful too. There are currently 10 books and I'm halfway through the 5th. Anyone who likes to read should check them out! :)

I can't seem to get behind this show, I just can't get into seeing humans having sex with animals and dead demonic humans. I tried watching the show, but is not my "cup of tea" like they say. I saw a scene where Ana's character and her vampire lover were having sex; he bit her neck and proceeded to pour her blood over her mouth and her body. I changed the channel; I really think is too demonic and disgusting. I don't find anything great about a show where humans have sex with demons. I’m really surprised I feel this way. I’m very open minded about things; I have a crazy sense of humor, but, this show, I just can’t get behind.

I can see where being in 'The Piano' when you are a child would probably have some affect on you. There was quite a bit of nudity in that. I don't watch the show, so can't comment on that part.

Wasn't she also the girl who did the movie "Lolita" when she was 11 or 12 years old? It got banned from the movie theaters, so Showtime or HBO picked it up and aired it.

You're thinking of Dominique Swain, and she was 16 or 17 when she filmed it.

I hear a lot of good things about this show, but I don't know if I agree. I've only seen the pilot, so maybe things get better in later episodes, but it I just remember being really bored- I kept pausing it to go do other things, and Anna really overdid the whole wide eyed, gee golly southern bell thing with her character Sookie.

This show is the best thing that ever happened to television. And Anna should be comfortable with her body--she's very fit. Hope the show stays on for another 10 seasons.

Oh, and there's not 10 books, there's only 9. I wish there was 10!

I don't really follow the series.
For me, it's just too weird to see her naked.
I just constantly see her being Rogue from X-men, who's a kid.
So yeah. Weird.

LOVE IT!!! Yes, it can be a bit gory from time to time, but I have always had a fascination with vampiress and the romantic (not sexual) moments between Bill and Sookie make me a sucker for the show. Just wish they had more episodes than they do!

I watch it. I enjoy the show for the most part. I tried to read the books but just didn't like them for the most part (kinda cheesy writing). Everyone kept telling me that they'd get better after about the 3rd book. Well, I tried but found them "meh". I LOVE Eric on the show. I hope he keeps being kinda cheeky this season with needling Bill about how he wants Sookie for himself. LOL Bill's looking a little better this season (sookie too). Last season I didn't find him attractive at all - he's kinda so-so so far. LOL The writing this season just feels fresh and lively. I love Jason. He's such a dimwit but so lovable. I'm anxious to see where they take Jessica's character. I am really liking her. :)

Gisela....what are you talking about?? Sex with dead animals? Am I forgetting something? Seriously...I am not being snide. I have read all the books and watched every episode and I have no idea what you're talking about... anyway, I think both series (the show and the books) are fun, supernatural series. I love it. To all the naysayers, I say perhaps you haven't given it a fair chance.

Gisela Gisela said:

Did you read what I post? where did I say having sex with dead animals? I was calling the vampires dead demonic humans. Vampires are considered dead walking demons. I know is make believe, but I don't find vampires sexually attractive..LOL. My co-worker told me there are humans on the show that morph into animals. That's what I was referring to. Anyway, the show is for those who like those type of entertainment, I'm glad I can choose different.

You got her good you said humans having sex with animals not dead animals. A huge difference. One's well just disgusting. Whereas the other is well disgusting.

Capturing Life...so funny what you said about Bill...when I saw the first promos for the show (I just recently got into it right before Season Two started) I really didn't see the appeal of either Bill or Sookie. Then I watched them in action and googled Stephen Moyer. He is absolutely gorgeous! They've made him look pale etc as Bill...but even as Bill, when the camera is "on" his mannerisms and accent is sexy. Hot man, hot show...I'd take him in a heartbeat. Funny how I totally changed my opinion once I started watching it.

i like the show...
at first i thought they "overacted" a little bit... and sookie and her brother act like they are alot younger than they actually look.... but once you get used to that, it's a catchy show...
but anna paquin is adorable & has an awesome figure... not thinking that stephen moyer is so hot... didn't think he was that hot on the starter wife, either though, i guess just not my type...

i don't mind the issue of the demonic sex or whatever.... i also enjoyed sex in the city & obviously there were some loose morals there too...
i guess it can be a little true, what we can't do, we watch... ?
I just hope this one doesn't get cancelled. I watched & enjoyed lipstick jungle, too, and it didn't last....

she looks and sounds exactly like holly hunter and i keep saying "is that holly hunter?" and my whole family starts screaming at me that i asked the same question last week and the week before. I think Anna is actually a clone of holly hunter.

I love this show a LOT, but I can't watch the second season because we don't have televsion. The only tv I get is stuff I buy from itunes...and for some reason itunes hasn't started a season pass for True Blood season 2 and it pisses me off so bad! I can't wait until I move to the states so I can watch this show on actual television!

I don't have a television either. Luckily, I happened to stumble upon this site and I can get my fix without having to wait a trillion years for it to come out on DVD to watch it on my laptop.
