Ashlee Simpson Can’t Wait For Melrose Place To Air

I would be excited too if I landed a network gig! Ashlee Simpson is about to enter the homes of millions of viewers a week. This could mean BIG things for her singing career as well. A whole new fan base is just waiting to be found. Melrose Place… here she comes.

"For me, I started off doing ’7th Heaven.’ I went on to do my music
career so now I’m really, really thrilled [to be back on TV]. This is
what I wanted to do and this is such a great show. I’m so excited about
the show."

The new mom talked about her upcoming character, Violet Foster with MTV News.

"I play the girl that’s straight-off-the-bus. It’s fun. It’s exciting because we don’t get to see the next episode. We don’t get to read the scripts until we’re actually about to shoot it, and everyone is dying to know what’s going to happen to their characters, so it’s fun. It’ll be exciting to play that arc. … It’s got good drama."

Melrose Place debuts this Fall. Will you be tuning in?

Thank GOD she finally realized that she sucks at music. =^_^=

not only she’s a bad singer, her acting skills are close to zero. I wonder how a non talent like her is able to hold a fan base–
    next!

I can wait. Forever, if need be.losethatgirl blog

She just sucks all around. She is not talented and I am so sick of her and her sister being forced in our faces. Not to mention that baby is not cute at all.

  5. AliceW says:

Heavens no. Why would I do that to myself?

  6. DonnaJ says:

Ashlee and her husband are both third rate “entertainers” at best. And I have to agree with Anonymous 8:26…the baby is not cute at all and I hate the fact that people name their kids after boroughs. Its stupid as sh!t.

  7. Lizzypoo says:

    Not watching ~ Liz ~

  8. lara jane says:

What I can’t understand is why they give trendy kids’ names to adults on tv shows and movies (and in books, in the case of Twilight’s Bella). Annoys the life outta me!

  11. Riviera says:

I’m really curious to see if it’s any good. I loved the original series back in the day. That was some good drama!

  15. Feewer says:

I used to watch 7th Heaven, and I have to tell you the season that Ashlee was on as Simon’s girlfriend was the worst ever. She can’t act! I won’t be watching the new Melrose Place–I didn’t even watch the original. I somehow feel by watching the remakes of older shows and movies we are contributing to the whole concept that this is a good trend, that the producers and writers have gotten lazy in their search for something new and entertaining and rather than address the slump they seem to be in they just keep rehashing old material and putting a new spin on it and telling us it is bigger and better than the original. What is worse, is a show that aired on Monday nights on CBS last fall even used word for word a scene that had been used in an episode of Roseann. How creative! (Insert proper sarcastic eye roll here).

  19. lara jane says:

I agree. I don’t get this whole trend of rehashing everything that’s already been done.

  20. reneeeee says:

you so jealous damn girl… chill

  21. dolphinlover88 says:

I used to watch 90210 (the new one), but all the melodrama…ugh. I’m afraid Melrose Place will be pretty much the same thing. So no, I don’t think I’ll be tuning in.

  22. merce369 says:

    nope, don’t think so

  23. Anonymous says:

Nope, I will not be tuning in.
