Sienna Miller Says Celebrity Beauty Isn't Real

LOVE this quote. If only more celebrities were honest about what it takes to look that good maybe the rest of the world wouldn't feel so much pressure to have the perfect body and face.
Sienna Miller recently opened up a little bit about how it feels to be seen as a beauty icon.
"I don't feel like a beauty icon. I don't give it too much
thought. It's not something I obsess about. I get pretty insecure and
have the same insecurities as everyone else - sometimes more because
there is more focus put on me. I'm quite self-conscious sometimes but
if you're going to a red carpet event or doing a junket you have to
have the best hair and make-up team and if you're in a film they're
lighting you so it's not the reality."
Do you wish we'd see celebs more often looking "normal," or would you rather see them looking glam since that's sort of part of their job?

Part of me would love to see the celebs looking "normal". Maybe some people wouldn't feel so "less than" when comparing themselves to celebs then. ;)

I dont feel too bad I mean, these people are paid to look beautiful. People talk about opera loosing whatever amount of pounds, good for her, go girl. YEA WHATEVA, she can have a personal trainner, personal chef, etc. Us mortals need to find time between either work, school, kids, projects, to force ourselves to the gym for an hr a day. then wake up do the same s.h.i.t. the next day

I like seeing them glammed up! I know they too are human, and have a great team of people to help them look that way, but I just like seeing anyone all gussied up!

Of course Celebrity beauty isn't real we all know that (well not all). Some people are naive enough to believe that those pics and magazine photos are exactly how they look in real life. They are as normal and average looking as we are. The difference is that they have no budget they can look relax and rested at all times. If i had that freedom with my money i'll have my boobs enlarged, nose bridge fix and dental venners. That's how they are able to look better and have more of a perfect apperance cause they have that freedom and can afford it without a problem.
it's true, most celebs look better because of photoshop, makeup, etc.
but still sienna has real beauty, one of the prettiest girls i've ever seen!!!

I totally agree! shes naturally beautiful. But i believe she had her nose fix and takes great care of her skin with the best products as well. So of course this is a huge contribution to her already natural beauty.
I am glad she said this. I happen to actually like Sienna, regardless of who she dates/etc. and I happen to think she is very beautiful. :)

It's great to hear someone admit that. There are so few celebrities who actually look like normal, natural people. There would be a lot less insecurity among young girls if celebrities would admit this. Of course celebrities have to get glammed up and look pretty as part of there job, but not all the time.

They don't have to look glammed up all the time, it's ok to be normal everyday person once in a while. A lot of them go overboard with all the procedures they do to there bodies and faces. It's nice of her to admit thing like that.

This coming from the same woman who perpetuates the notion that being pretty and wearing pretty clothes exempts her from her bad behavior and that she can do whatever she wants because she is "pretty"? Yes, SM making sure that everyone knows that celeb beauty isn't real is far more important than the war that she is waging against a mother and her 4 kids. Where is SM PR team? She must not be too insecure because for the umpteenth time she leaked more photos of herself topless and "sunbathing" in a bikini with the still very married man on of all days, Father's Day. Instead of being concerned about what the public thinks about beauty, perhaps she should be more concerned about the message she is sending BG's kids everytime she publilcy engages in pda with him on a family holiday or uses her outfits to taunt his wife and kids.
