Ryan Gosling Album To Release October 6th

You love him as a romantic lead, but will you love Ryan Gosling as a musician and singer? In a few months, Ryan’s debut album will hit stores.

On October 6, Anti- will release Dead Man’s Bones’ self-titled debut album. (It was previously titled Never Let a Lack of Talent Get You Down.)

Here’s Gosling talking about what motivated the album’s sound:

"You know when you’re a kid and you get crayons and papers and just draw whatever you want and it’s just a bunch of messy lines, but to you it makes sense, and then they put it on the fridge? From that point on, you’re always trying to get back on the fridge, you start drawing things that look like something, like, the more it looks like a horse, the more chance you have of getting it on the fridge.

We wanted to get back to that place before we were trying to make the fridge. We wanted to work with people who hadn’t been affected in that way yet."

Seems like more and more actors are trying to become musicians and vice versa. However, Ryan doesn’t seem the type to be in it for the fame. Looking forward to seeing how the album does.

Yeah, he’s definitely not doing the whole wannabe a rock star thing for more attention. He started out as a singer on the MMC. I still have all of the old episodes from that show and he had a great voice. I’m really excited about this.

I’ve actually have heard him sing from before and believe it or not he’s got a great voice! You have to remember that he was part of the whole Mickey Mouse gang with Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera, so technically he was a singer before and actor. I wish him luck. Good for him

I’m curious about this, enough to download a track.

He is such a phenomenal actor, I hope this doesn’t take away from that part of his career.

I think this guy is definitely hot, and will be interested in listening to it; but I wonder why so many actors feel the need to come out with albums. Did they just take on acting when their real passion is music? Do they feel the need to branch out, in case acting falls through? Do they all just really have so much talent it leaks out into other forms of art? Or are they just trying to capitalize on their fame? Maybe a combination of all????

  16. Wonder_Woman says:

He seems like he might sound like jason mraz
