Word on the street (ok, maybe just on The NY Post website) is that Joe Simpson has his attention pointed back on his daughter, Ashlee Simpson. Her singing career... is lacking at the moment and he is racking his brain trying to come up with a new angle.
And that angle is Michael Jackson.
Ashlee is set to record an album remaking some of Michael's greatest hits.
What do you think? Would that be something you'd be interested in listening to?
UPDATE: This story is fiction! Ashlee's rep says,
“There is absolutely no truth to this report at all. It is a completely fabricated story.”

NOOOO!!! if she does this, i hope Michael Jackson's will executors/lawyers murder her ass so that she has nothing to do in this business. i mean she doesn't sing good, she doesn't act good, she doesnt produce/make her own shit... What I would like to hear though, is more punk/rock twists on his music. Alien Ant Farm's take on MJ's Smooth Criminal kicked butt, and actually when I first heard the song I thought "this sounds a lot like an Michael Jackson beat!" :)

Thank God!!!! It's sooo obvious she made this story up to keep Jessica's upcoming Barbie theme birthday partyfrom getting too much press. She's soo jealous! It's too easy! Her show is going to last one season. Too bad Michael and Sydney will not be able to keep this show afloat.
