Fergie dyed her hair brown to help her "evolve" into an adult.
The Black Eyed Peas singer has revealed she covered up the blonde with darker locks earlier this year because she was married and wanted to look "more mature".
The 34-year-old star – who wed ‘Transformers…’ star Josh Duhamel in January – said:
"I’ve always been blonde, but it’s a new time in my life. It felt like it was time to evolve."
Fergie has also stopped wearing revealing outfits to enhance her new "serious" image and claims it is being love which inspired her transformation.
She explained:
"I’ve been in a lot of relationships that were exciting but unhealthy. I wanted somebody that I could count on. With all the craziness in the business, I know I can count on my man – and he knows he can count on me."
Aw! These two really sound so sweet. I’m happy they found one another.
The couple don’t yet have any children, but Fergie has already changed the way she behaves in preparation for motherhood.
"Suddenly, seeing little girls in the audience with their mothers made me think about what I do on stage a bit more. I had to watch my mouth, because it can be filthy. It changed things for me."

Well, she certainly does look more “mature” – her face is beat and she looks 50 years old.
I agree, the dark hair makes her look too old. She looked better with blond hair.
I don’t mind her dark haired it’s just that her hair style doesn’t suit her. Her face isn’t the right shape to wear her hair like that. She looks like she’s got no neck.
I like her with darker hair. But she should try parting it differently. Parting it in the middle doesn’t really do wonders for her face.

I guess if it helped her. I dyed my hair red all throughout high school, and when I met my husband, he asked to see my natural hair, and I felt differnt ever since.
I don’t think she suits being so dark. She looks likes she’s in her forties.
I like the darker locks…but she definitely doesn’t look like she’s in her thirties. I thought, and had heard on several occaisions that she was in her fourties. But I just checked online and she’s apparently in her early to mid thirties…that just can’t be right! – Mandi
