Well, this should be exciting to say the least.
Emma Watson is teaming up with Marilyn Manson for a new film.
The ‘Harry Potter‘ actress is reportedly set to star as a princess in a gothic musical reworking of ‘Cinderella‘, which is currently being written by the outrageous rocker.
“Emma really wants to show there’s more to her talents than playing Hermione Granger. She’s saw how Daniel Radcliffe managed to branch out into something completely different when he starred in ‘Equus‘ and thinks this could do the same for her – after all, who’d guess she’s want to team with Marilyn Manson, of all people.”
No rep confirmation as of yet, but this story definitely has me interested in the project. Hopefully it will happen!

I’d have to see the finished product. I think Emma is a smart girl and would never end up as one of Manson’s puppet girlfriends. Rob Zombie would rock this shiz or Tim Burton, I wish that we could influence the outcome on projects like these. Just have to wait & see…
It would be interesting, if it were true, and certainly a departure from Hermione Granger. I guess I could see where she’d want to do something like this, but I hope it would only change the perception of her as an actress and not her actual character.
Well, if this IS true, let’s hope she keeps her head on her shoulders, unlike some other young actresses, around this guy. I agree with the above posters, either Rob Zombie or Tim Burton would PROBABLY do a much better job than Mason. But who knows??

I think Emma has proven so far that she is a sensible girl and for some reason I am not THAT worried about her being around Manson.
She just dosn’t strike me as the ‘princess goth’ type of gal, but then thats probably what makes it appealing to her….

I’ve heard about Manson’s project; I don’t think it will be that good. It’s interesting, but he should have produced and gave the directing to Rob Zombie. Maybe he’s not directing, but that’s what I would do if I were him anyway; Zombie has some talent, and it’s right up his ally.

i don’t know. I like Emma a lot and don’t like Marilyn. It’s a tough one. I’d wait and see what reviews will it get, then decide if i want to see it.
I don’t think it’s true. She’s heading off for college after the filming wraps for Deathly Hallows and she’s made a lot of comments about not knowing what her future holds and whether or not she’ll continue acting.
i’m not buying this one yet, but it sounds awesome.
