Johnny Depp Wishes He Could Take His Children To Disneyland

Johnny Depp Wishes He Could Take His Children To Disneyland

Awwww... this is just sad. :)

Johnny Depp dreams of visiting Disneyland.
The Hollywood actor - who has a 10-year-old daughter Lily-Rose and son Jack,
seven, with partner Vanessa Paradis - would take his kids to the famous
theme park if he wasn’t famous.

“I would walk through Disneyland with my kids. That’s what I’d do
for the day.
“I would go on every ride and I would walk through Disneyland with my kids
and let them experience all the things most kids do. They don’t get to do
those things with daddy.

“When daddy walks through Disneyland with them, things get weird.”

Johnny had to miss out on Lily Rose and Jack’s visit to Disneyland last
year.
French singer Vanessa took the children to the California-based theme park,
which features a wax figure of Johnny as pirate Captain Jack Sparrow.

The 46-year-old actor has made no secret of his struggle to cope with being
famous.
Johnny - who rose to fame in 1984's 'A Nightmare on Elm Street' - prefers to
keep out of the public spotlight and spend time with his family.
He said:

"I can't think of myself in terms of celebrity. It's just too
weird. If the choice is between being gawked at and sitting in a chair in a
dark room, I prefer the dark room."

Too bad he can't at least rent an evening out so he can go with his children. I am sure Disney would do something like this for Johnny!!

That is sad.. He is such a respectable guy. I wish he could fulfill this desire to take his kids to Disneyland/world and not be glanced at more than once.

Ha ha, I don't know if I'd say he "rose to fame" with "Nightmare on Elm Street." That was just his first role. He rose to fame with movies like "Edward Scissorhands."

As far as "big" fame, you're right, but my sister and I had mad crushes on Glen and repeatedly put up with 2 hours of Freddie just to see him. :)

The sad thing is the paps still found them when they went to Disneyland with Vanessa. There was a dozen pictures on various websites, most of them making fun of Vanessa because she was wearing a serious scowl when she spotted the cameras.

It still wouldn't be a normal experience if they rented the whole place. That would be strange for the kids.

Aw that is so sad. I know this isn't the point but he could buy out the park for a day and take his kids. But I know what he means: he just wants his kids to do whatever every other kid gets to do with their parents.

Stuff like this makes me feel sad for the kids. I do wish people would back off sometimes... but this is the present age of celebrity, where we feel like we know them and are somehow entitled to something.

Why not hire a make-up artist for the day and get the whole family done up with prosthetics, etc? They could roam around without attracting any attention at all...

This is sad. Celebrities can't even go out with their kids in public. Every kid needs to experience Disneyland with their parents.

Aw cry me a river, Johnny. I took my kids to Disneyland over Spring Break. We were there 15 hours and spent at least 10 of them standing in long hot lines. "Normal" experience my foot, it was torture.

Hire a make up artist or rent the place out. Good grief, the Pirates ride has Johnny as Jack Sparrow front and center, I'm sure Disney could do something for him.

Pathetic excuse many celebs go to Disneyland and some even shut down half of Disneyland. Disneyworld made extra efforts for Suri Cruise but they still acted normal not bringing big entourages or making a scene. They were still good to the people even when the people act crazy and weird.
Disneyland is a must experience for kids (even adults).

@11:50 Jennifer Garner had Disneypark all to herself and her TV crew I remember years back. Not the entire park but some of the rides. Its not the same experience though when you have the park to yourself.

Type in youtube..........Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes in Disneyworld and watch the fans go apedung and I feel so bad for Connor and Suri.
The Disney security were no match but bravo to them and the family for staying calm, patient and gracious.

Hey Johnny, if you weren't famous. You prolly couldn't afford to take your family to Disney Land. Think about the economy buddy;) You're still hot though.

I went with a friend to disneyworld that looks exactly like his Jack Sparrow character, we were harrassed the whole day. I was amused!!

Ohhh boo hoo hoo. My heart just bleeds for him. Ugh give me a break. It's not like anyone forced him into acting.

And you are all wrong... he got famous on 21 Jumpstreet.

He could get off his lazy arse and take the kids camping, go to lots of non-Western places where he isn't known, thanks to his fame he has more time and money to spend on his kids than 99,9999999999999999999999999% of the world population, you'd think he would find better things to do than moaning about non being able to go to Disneyland incognito...Is this a new Jacko impersonation or what?

couldnt he just change his look? you know, throw on an outfit that would not be him at all.. kacki shorts, a polo shirt, and even those ugly sandles, hide his hair under a baseball cap, and he could probly get away with it.

He can pay Disney for a few hours alone. AND he can stop whining and take a shower to wash himself of all the grease he has on his hair. Yuk.

I think there are things that are worse than not taking your kids to Disneyland. I am a fan but honestly, how bad could it be when he can take them to his own private island instead!!??
