Adriana Lima Can No Longer Eat Chocolate

Pregnant Adriana Lima can no longer stand the taste of chocolate.
The Brazilian supermodel has confessed that she no longer can eat her favorite treat every since becoming pregnant.

"It's funny because I used to love chocolate - I was such a chocolate lover until I got pregnant! But now it just doesn't appeal to me at all. I haven't really had any since I got pregnant.
"I guess that's a good thing since it's chocolate and it's probably not good for the baby to eat too much sugar, but I hope I get my love of chocolate back afterwards because I really did enjoy it!"

The 28-year-old beauty - who is expecting her first child with basketball star husband Marko Jaric this winter - added she loves being with child and has already started shopping for her unborn baby.
She added to Us Weekly magazine:

"I've really never felt better. I feel like I'm glowing because I just - right now - I just have everything. My life is complete right in this moment.
"We actually went out and bought a stroller the other day even though I'm only 17 weeks pregnant! Marko was telling me that he can't wait to push the stroller around and how he's going to be the proudest dad in the whole world."

17 weeks! That's early! I guess my circle of friends knows too many people who have had issues with pregnancies. Stroller shopping typically doesn't begin until the 3rd trimester.

How about you? When did you start shopping for the big ticket items? And what about aversions to food? Did you have any while pregnant?

that's really early to buy a stroller

Why?

not really...

Once you are out of your first trimester (beginning at 13 weeks) the chance of miscarriage is WAY down and remains pretty much the same until delivery...so it's really not that early.

I want to not like her bc she's my boyfriend's biggest crush and there's a giant window display poster in his man den, but she is so cute!!! She just seems so sweet. I hope everything continues great for her. That's a little early for a stroller, but she's excited. Baby stuff is so much fun. ~ Liz ~

Wow. How respectful to you. A giant window display poster of her?! Nice guy you are married too.

Its not a big deal really. My bf has 3 beautiful portraits in his room one of a half naked warrior women in black and white. the other is a a lady sitting in a martini cup, pretty sexy. the other one is a glazed painting of Marylin Manroe (of course I picked). But in my room I have A HUGE poster of Gerard in 300 yum (That he got me i might add) . you need to be really self concious if your afraid of a poster, bc thats the closest your man would be able to get with a celeb

That's why it's called the "man" den. Not everyone is jealous of celebrities. You should really be a little more secure in yourself.

Your boyfriend sounds really immature. If he's over the age of 18, he shouldn't be doing that. It's weird.

I know, they must be so excited.
We didn't buy anything, but what i needed for the hospital, after our daughter was born my husband bought all the things she needed, it was very sweet.
As for aversions, i could no longer enjoy grapes and pears and ice-cream.

I probably would have started buying stuff early but I couldn't. I was in Turkey when I got pregnant and my husband and I weren't married yet, we had the wedding planned for when we got back from Turkey but oops! Anyway we were also still living in the dorms on base (air force) so we didn't actually get to live in our apartment we have now until I was about 5 months pregnant...and THEN I started to buy things because we finally had the room and the money.

I don't remember when we started buying baby gear, but I wanted to comment on the chocolate thing: A friend of mine also had an aversion to chocolate during her pregnancy, which was a shock to everyone she knows because she was a really big chocolate addict! She still doesn't really like chocolate to this day. Lucky her - wish I could say the same for me!!

We're expecting in 3 weeks and before I even knew I was pregnant, chocolate and coffee became pretty gross to me. Coffee is worse, I can have chocolate flavored things like ice cream or cake but I really dislike solid chocolate like chocolate chips or bars... nasty!! And to think I used to love it. As for big ticket items, we just bought our stroller and car seat last week but have had our other nursery items for 5 or 6 weeks now... 25 weeks start looking, 30 weeks start buying!

She's excited! I hate it when people poo poo on pregnancies. And I agree with MW, how is 17 weeks early? Most turn out absolutely healthy and terrific and if she feels like shopping, she certainly has the means to, then she should! I would and did buy my stroller around the 5th month, however was already shopping around the 4th month!

just saying buying the Big Ticket items it's a bit early...most folks wait for a stroller is all. the only things I bought in my 1st 2 trimesters was a few cute oneises and bibs then I waited for my shower to see what gifts were bought (I'm blessed with a big family) then I bought whatever else was needed. I'm due in Sept. with my 2nd and I have not even started on his room lol!!! I have had horrible morning sickness with both my boys lasting all the way into my 7th month so I can't really say what foods I couldn't eat anymore. but I crave fast food all the time Inn and Out and Del Taco it's crazy lol. Anyways lots of luck to all the other new mommies out there :)

Because of all the things that can go wrong with pregnancy, 17 weeks is kind of early.
Although, everyone's different right? Most pregnancies are OK i would think, so why not be prepared.

Just sad if something happens and then you've got a room full of baby stuff and no baby.

She's a supermodel married to a basketball player for Christ's sakes. A stroller isn't a "big ticket item" for them.

I'm due in 6 weeks! We waited to buy baby items until we were much farther along only because we didn't want to jinx anything. Each to her own though! Strangely enough, chocolate isn't that tasty to me either. I'll look at chocolate bars or snoCaps in the store, buy them and then try a piece and decide they don't taste good. The only strange thing that's happened to me isn't with food. it's about cleaning products. I absolutely adore the smell of our Cascade dishwasher soap and other products. It's like I want to eat it. Of course, I never never would but I crave that smell. Weird!

I hope the baby looks more like her!!!!! lolz...

I know, to each their own but My hubby and I bought everything (stroller, swing, car seat, high chair and pack and play) at 16 weeks when we found out the sex!... i think it's wonderful for her!! As for food, I love garlic but when I was prego, I would throw up at the smell!!

Anonymous Anonymous said:

I couldn't get enough fruit. I ate a whole huge watermelon in three days and I would buy peaches by the bag...a big bag. Full. Thank God I'm not pregnant anymore, even though I still crave fruit for some reason.

I hope this pretty mommy has a great experience with her pregnancy, I wish the family the best and I hope it's a girl!

it's pretty obvious the chocolate/coffee aversion is your body's way of telling you to not have too much caffeine.
