Nicole Kidman Is Scared Of The Sun

Nicole Kidman and ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ 9 year old Indian actress Rubina Ali were co-stars for a Schwepps commercial.9 year old Rubina is coming out with an autobiography soon (no, I am not kidding), and in it she writes of Nicole,

‘I really liked her, but she was very quiet and didn’t speak much. I think she was a bit shy.’

LOL! I love how a 9 year is so perceptive. We don’t give kids that much credit. The actress also went onto say that Nicole is afraid of the sun! I am sure she just meant that Nicole is careful about protecting her skin.

She goes on to describe the actress as ‘strange’ because she refused to come out of her trailer over the whole shoot, seemingly afraid of the sun on her alabaster complexion.

Do you think the book will do well? Are you interested in reading Rubina’s life story?

9 year old coming out with the book?! I know I know she’s not your ordinary child and i’m sure she has a lot to say about her life in slums, but it does sounds rather non geniune. I just hope she get a fair money out of these along with adults who are pushing this deal.

She sounds like a snot to me. Why do we want to read this?

  3. BoN says:

    Hahahaha

  4. Lizzypoo says:

I wouldn’t read a 9 yr old’s memoirs. I’m sure she’s already gone through much more than I ever will, but still. ~ Liz ~

  5. Megan Fox says:

She should be! Nicole has really fair skin and she probably tans easily… at this age her main goal is to stop the aging process as much as she can :)

NK has had so many skin treatments (also to get rid of her freckles) that she HAS TO avoid the sun. The real NK was red-haired and FULL of freckles.

    Life story?? She’s frickin 9!

  8. Birdie Bird says:

I think people will buy because she was on a multioscar movie, she’s sweet and had a fairytale moment (in the meaning that she lived in a slum and then became notices – I know she went back to the slum)… Some people want to see how life is in a slum…
But to be honest… no matter what you accomplished… 9 years is just a publicity stunt (think that’s the expression ?)

I think the book will do well, because of the popularity of the movie, and because many people have soft spots for kids.

I hope Ali gets her fair share of the royalties.

I wonder how much of this book are her actual words and how much of it is the ghost writer’s interpretation of what this little girl said. Also Rubina learned English when she got cast for this movie, I’m sure there was quite a bit that was ‘lost in translation’.

Secondly, I remember reading Nicole Kidman stating that they found some cancerous growth on her leg. She had the skin removed, so I can see why she would be hesitant about spending time in the sun- especially in India.

  14. Nicole says:

Did you pay for that main picture? Gosh, I hope not, lol.

I don’t know which I way I go with this…but appearently there is some controversy with skin cancer and sun. Doctors are saying that the sun may not be causing the cancer all by itself. Their argument is that God made humans with the thought in mind that they would be in the sun for long periods of time so our skin is made for sunlight. The other argument is that God also gave us the mind to stay out of the sun so much by sheltering ourselves. Wow. It seems like an interesting topic to read about. Google it I suppose. I don’t have a resource, my boss told me about it.

  16. elaine123 says:

There is no controversy. It’s a well proven fact that ultraviolet rays from the sun cause skin cancer. I’ve never heard of this God approach though. I doubt any credible doctor will make any medical statement on what “God” had to do with it. Seriously!

  17. Polly says:

Where are these “Doctors” that base their medical opinions on what “God” wants? I’m just curious so that I can be sure to avoid them.

I know it is popular to stay out of the sun if unprotected with sunscreens between the hours of 10-2. If she was made up and practicing lines inside, maybe spending time with her daughter as well, I am not sure I would find that odd as an adult. As a child…sure.

Its one of the most controversial issues on internet as well as in entertainment. But one more thing is really getting my attention. The internet is buzzing over Jon Gosselin’s girlfriend. The reason as to why anyone wants to know anything about Jon Gosselin’s girlfriend or the Gosselins in general is because they might not have enough time on their hands, but at any rate, he is already dating again, a 22 year old named Hailey Glassman, and a lot of people are consequently looking for a Hailey Glassman mugshot, as few pictures of her are out there. Jon Gosselin is about to launch his own fashion line – because there aren’t enough companies that sell jeans and t shirts. Still, enough people will still flock to payday loan companies if they can buy s shirt designed by Jon Gosselin’s girlfriend.

  20. elaine123 says:

Focus…stay on the subject, would you?

  21. BoN says:

She’s checking to see if we were actually paying attention to the pics of nicole kidman…LoL

  22. ALmostEviL says:

I don’t know. Like I said before…I don’t have resources. But I would google it if you wanted to know who to avoid, lol.

  23. ALmostEviL says:

Fine…I googled it for you…and this is the first thing that came up. I didnt read it but whatever…http://www.rense.com/general75/uv.htm….Another arugment is that people get skin cancer where the sun doesn’t shine.

  24. elaine123 says:

All right, first of all, this article, from what I can tell is not even from an accredited doctor. Secondly, it doesn;t even mention God. And, third, just becasue it’s on the internet doesn’t make it true.

  25. Ariel says:

It was a spammer. If you hovered over the linked text, it shows the url for some personal loan company.

…counting the steps to the door of my heart…
