Charlotte Russe celebrated their Fall 2009 line with a shindig in
Soho. I sent one of my writers to the event and it turned out to be a really great party. A few ‘Gossip Girl‘ stars showed up and she even asked Stephanie Pratt about her new look.

Charlotte Russe celebrated their Fall 2009 line with a shindig in
Soho.If you’re not familiar with the brand, they offer trendy but
affordable clothing online and in various stories throughout the
country. 3 looks highlighted were Brit Punk, Girly Grunge and Heirloom
Romance.
“Gossip Girl” costume director and Charlotte Russe stylist, Eric Daman,
was on hand for the event. There were obvious injections of “Gossip
Girl” style in the outfits, as well as collaborations with Kitson LA
and People’s Liberation.
Besides being inspired by elements of
the “Gossip Girl” characters, Eric was especially drawn to the
versatility of female style, in that we can pull off various looks
without letting one define us. A girl that wants to try out the punk
rock look today can smoothly transition into pulling off preppy chic
the next. That’s the Charlotte Russe kind of girl! I asked Eric to pick
his one absolute favorite item from the new Fall collection. His choice
is a riding jacket, done in chocolate. We’ll have to keep an eye out
for that!
Eric’s “Gossip Girl” friends came by to help him celebrate. Jessica Szohr, in cute black shorts and a statement necklace with Christian Dior shoes, chatted with Rumer Willis, who is still rocking the red hair. Michelle Trachtenberg and Ali Lohan also stopped by. Joanna Garcia looked cute and comfortable in J Brand jeans and a breathable tank with Charlotte Russe jewelry.

from “The Hills” was also there, looking really great….really
different great. I tried to ask the question because I know everyone’s
wondering (just me?) but she graciously side-stepped it. She was happy
to talk about the show and is excited for Lauren Conrad.
Stephanie says that they still talk often, the last time being just
this morning when she congratulated Lauren on the success of her book.
Also in attendance were Christian Serratos from “Twilight” and Dayana Mendoza, Miss Universe.
DJ Cat Hartwell spun hits while everyone checked out the mix of mannequins and models. Young Love performed some of their songs, as well.

I just went shopping there this afternoon… loved all the new stuff they have. I always love their jeans! Their clothes are cut the right way. You don’t have to go somewhere else if you are bigger. I don’t know what you mean by bigger but I have a XL chest and can fit in most of their Ls because they don’t have XL. And now they go up to size 15 in many of their jeans which I think is great. I’m not a 15 but it just shows me how great they are to expand their consumer base. I can’t shop at Express for jeans, unless I shop online, because I’m a 13 and they don’t even go up to 13. Forever 21 is also like that in stores but they too have recently expanded to create a branch of plus sized stores. I love Charlotte Russe!
I havent shopped at Charlotte Russe in 10 years…

Charlotte Russe clothes are cut extremely small. I’m usually a large in tops cuz i’m top heavy but when I go into that store the tops can’t even fit into any of em. The clothes is geared towards younger generation but what message are you sending girls who go into your store thinking they one size & come out not being able to fit into your clothes.
Um, actually the clothes are cut the same way as they are in most other stores for younger people (Forever 21, Hollister, A&F, Wet Seal, PacSun etc). If you can’t fit into a 1 at C-R than you’re NOT a 1 and won’t be able to fit into a 1 in any of the other stores. Besides, wouldn’t you rather know that you actually ARE a 1 than deceive yourself into thinking that by wearing clothes that are actually larger and just labeled as a 1? =^_^=

agree with Ellie on this one. most people buy clothes that are too small for them, if you are not a size 1 dont buy in stores that are meant for small ppl. there are plenty of stores for big and bigger women. you just have to find the right store or stores to shop at.
