Katie Holmes Takes Suri Cruise On A Shopping Spree After She Gets Homesick

Aw - you don't think about how all this travel might affect the children. Suri misses the comforts of her home and Katie Holmes is doing what she can to keep her daughter from feeling homesick.

Katie reportedly spent $650 during a shopping spree at Melbourne’s Target home store and treated the youngster to a bicycle, a
‘Dora the Explorer’ piano, a Barbie doll, luxury bed sheets, lavish
home accessories and a selection of traditional board games.

A source said:

“Suri is a very well-behaved and adorable young lady. She seemed really pleased with her purchases.”

The actress and her husband Tom Cruise are currently living in Australia while Katie films ‘Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark’.

Awww i can imagine my boy being away from home and feeling this miserable. I dont blame her for trying to please her baby girl somehow. I would probably to the same, but no more than $650 ha.

OMG Polly that was a good one!
Katie has her priorities all wrong. Young children do not need retail therapy. Just goes to show that she is not being brough up in a healty manner.

you can't buy happiness! all child need is love and attention from their parents. not toys after toys after toys. I think this is ridiculous.

dang some of you are soo harsh. Perhaps she was trying to make her feel better by purchasing items that the child already has at home. Perhaps to make her new environment feel somewhat like home. I do that for my daughter all the time when we are away from home for an extended period of time. Give Katie a break. I'm sure ALL actors/actresses probably do the same thing when they take their kids along on extended location shoots. By the way....who said the child doesn't have friends?

Of course, why didn't I think of this!! The answer to all parenting obstacles: buy your kids tons of sh!t they already have!

I'm already counting down the years to a Suri Cruise tell-all book, or a breakdown that involves psychiatrists or similar. That family is seriously messed up - cult, marriage contract and all.

Yeah so it seems that the point of this is that money solves all problems. I wonder how many costly scientology courses it took to figure that out?

Wow, and it wasn't even her birthday or anything! Even if you have the money, I don't think it's a good idea to indulge your children like this. That is absurd! I just lost some respect to Katie. Suri won't appreciate anything anymore.

poor vera desperate to fill up her site trash keeps piling up here. Too much B.S. your site needs house cleaning. This gossip is as usual wrong about the Cruise family. Target shopping? The real news dont even have much intel.on their hands how much more the tabloids?
No one even really knows where they're staying. Cruise is reported to be with Packer when he's been back in L.A. for days. How do I know?
many fans have vids and pics of him at the Beyonce concert.....

hating and judgements on this family will surely have its comeuppance countdown and hey bring the rain of blessings on this family

Awww cute Katie looks like Suri in the pics. She is kindhearted and the most warm blooded actresses in Hollywood.

How do the tabloids lie keep on circulating on all these stars????? Bravo to them for ignoring and living their lives.I laugh and I feel sorry for some that eat this up just like the many everyday rumors on twilight and Stewart and Pattinson. I know only a few on occasions the tabloids will get it right like Katie's NY marathon and her Charity Dance only because fellow actors squealed it by accident not able to contain their excitement.
